Prompt #24: Father is disapproving after seeing her cheerleader outfit

Ryan's PoV:

"Dad, daddy, I made the cheerleading squad!" Amelia squealed as soon as she ran into the house. I smiled.

"Good for you sweetie!" I told her. "That's great!" Jerome grinned. He was really gunning for her to make it, and we all knew she would.

"I'm so excited! They gave me my uniform and everything already. And our first practice is next Tuesday after school." She beamed, holding up a neatly folded pile of red and white fabric.

"Well go try it on, I wanna see it." Jerome smiled, exited. She nodded back, just as enthusiastic, and raced to the bathroom. Jerome reached over and grabbed my hand.

"She did it." He whispered. "I know." I whispered back.

Amelia came back out a few minutes later, and my jaw dropped. The skirt was so short! It barely covered anything. Jerome and her were squealing and talking animatedly about it, and I was fuming slightly. They seriously let the girls wear such revealing outfits?

"So dad, do you like it?" She grinned, twirling in a circle. Which only made it worse, the little pleated skirt rising with the movement.

"Not particularly." I grumbled, crossing my arms. "But if it makes you happy." I sighed. She nodded, and have me a bear hug.

"Thanks dad!"

All of my knowledge of cheerleading comes from Bring it On, and Fired Up. I'm more of a Color Guard girl, which, if I'm completely honest with myself is cheerleading, but for the marching band. But we wield weapons and 6 foot metal poles with pretty flags.

I'm rambling now. 24 is done!
