Prompt #19: Finds some comfort in a simple (mine)craft

Ryan's PoV:

My younger cousin, Brittany...she passed away recently. She was only eight, and her favorite thing in the world was Minecraft. She had her own world on my laptop, and I clicked into it, looking around.

There were little buildings scattered around, and some random wool sculptures. I cracked a small smile, seeing her attempt at a Batman symbol.

I went to her 'main' house, and looked around, simple, but it suited her. I went back outside, and started building my own house next to hers. I didn't want to outdo her nice wooden one, so I started a cobblestone shack.

It felt like she was still here, and I smiled, hopeful that when I left the map, she would be stamping her foot and telling me to stay out of her world.

I don't know how long I was playing, but before long, I felt a hand shake my shoulder. I jumped, turning around to see Jerome's worried face.

"Ryan...come on. I miss her too, but you have to start moving on. She wouldn't want you to be like this" He murmured, kissing my forehead.

I sniffed, and leaned into his chest, crying a bit.
