                                                  Prompt #22: All but one think life support should be unplugged

                              Ryan's PoV:
                              "No." I stood my ground, glaring at Jerome's parents. The final decision was between the three of us, and I wasn't going to let it happen so easily.
                              "Ryan..." Cathy sighed, placing her hand over mine. "He's too far gone" Her voice broke slightly as we looked over at Jerome. He was laying in a hospital bed, all sorts of wires hooked up to his arms, and tubes down his throat.
                              "What if he wakes up? The doctors said there-"
                              "Stop it! He's not going to wake up Ryan! Please, just let him go in peace!" Kyle, his dad, yelled, cutting me off. Tears of frustration pricked my eyes, and I ran a hand through my hair.
                              "I have to try! It's my fault he's even here! It's all my fault..." I whispered towards the end, breaking out into tears, burying my face in Cathy's shoulder. She wrapped her arms around me, crying silently.
                              The whole reason Jerome was near death was because if me. We ran out of something, I can't even remember what, and I told him I was going to the store to get it. Then he intercepted, saying he had something he wanted to get, so he would go instead. I let him.
                              And I started getting worried when he was gone over an hour and a half. I figured he caught up with a friend or something, but then I got the call.
                              "I love him so much, I-I-I can't lose him Cathy."
