Coffee? Coffee.

Once the coffee was brewed, I smiled to myself at the thought of seeing and meeting this supposed 'hot guy' according to Patrick. Holding the pot of coffee in my hand, I headed towards the booth.

Once I was beside it, the guy still hadn't moved at all, probably not even realizing I walked over to him.

"Uhm, do you want coffee?" I asked him timidly.

"Sure." He replied to my question very enthusiastically, still not looking up towards me. His voice was a deep, rich, full voice. It intrigued me slightly. Most people don't have a voice that low, unless they're purposefully straining their voice to make it that low. It made me wonder if it was his natural voice or a persona to seem more masculine; although I highly doubted it would be fake considering he didn't seem interested at all to what I had to say.

He flipped over the coffee cup, silently telling me to fill it immediately.  I poured it after his hand wasn't near the cup anymore; not wanting to burn his hand in case I spilled some.

"Would you like any-" He cut me off, still too invested in his book to even look up at me.

"No thank you sugar."

"O-ok." I started to walk away, since the conversation was finished.

"Wait," He called back to me. "you're the new girl right? I haven't seen you here before." He asked me curiously. I turned to see if he had looked up from his book, but much to my disappointment, he wasn't.  It's great if you love books and are a bookworm, but it felt somewhat rude at this point to continue on  conversation that was dead, and still not look up from your book.

"Uh-yes, my first day actually. Good book you're reading?" I hoped he'd somehow get my hint, and put his book down. Or, he'd say the title and how 'life-changing' it must be to not look away from.

"Yupp, it's a good book. Congrats on getting the job. They've been needing another employee for months now."

"Ok. Enjoy your book." I said awkwardly while walking away, with him still not looking up from it. I just wanted to see his face, even if it was just his chin or cheek.

Walking back towards the bar, I saw Pat there grinning at me, cheeks very flushed and red. He started to chuckle as I got behind the bar and set the pot back on the brewer. turning to face him, he still was laughing. I stood next to him and crossed my arms.

"Have fun over there?" He asked me smugly, still chuckling under his breath. "It's very obvious you know?"

"What? What is so obvious apparently?" I asked him genuinely curious to what I did.

"You wanted to see his face so bad. That's probably why he didn't look up. He probably could sense that you wanted to see his face. Don't feel offended thought, it's just his personality. He's witty, funny, sarcastic, really just the whole package."

"Well you seem to know a lot about him. You're so head over heels for him; that's what's blatantly obvious." I chuckled at his comments, slightly nudging him as I joked around.

"Haha...no. I have my eyes set on someone else but he doesn't notice me. And beside I only know quite a bit about the guy because he comes here everyday."

"Awh Pat's in love." I continued to poke fun at him while still being nice. "But seriously? Everyday?" I was baffled if he'd actually come here everyday.

"Yea. I'm not sure why. Dorothy probably would. Everyday he gets here they have a very brief chat. I've only overheard a few times but I don't think they've noticed me yet." All while talking, he had his eyebrows furrowed , as if thinking of what to say and how to frame it properly.

-time skip for 2 hours-

Time felt like it was going by fast. I was shocked when I looked at the time and saw it was 12:30. 30 more minutes. Then it's the job at the library.

Working so far has been amazing. Both Patrick and Ray have fun personalities and great senses of humor. People came and went, grabbing coffee and leaving, or grabbing meals and then leaving. The only person that hasn't left yet, was the guy in the corner booth. Pat and Ray won't tell me his name though, insisting that I have to meet him for myself.

I'm only left now to imagine who he is.

<Thank you for reading! Thoughts? Can you guys guess who the guy is yet? Am I at a good speed with how slow I'm taking things? Or do you guys want me to speed it up a bit? Anyways, thanks for reading again! Laterz.>
