Is this real?

Waking up in my bed, I smiled as I felt 3 warm bodies surrounding me. My head hurt slightly, and I winced when reaching up to touch it. I groaned a tad as I felt a massive headache I must've acquired when sleeping. Opening my eyes, I saw Frank and Gee, curled into both of my sides, and a full grown Duke at the end of the bed.

"What?" Still in a half asleep daze, I was utterly confused. I looked around and started to shift positions, when Frank woke up.

"Oh mi inamorata are you ok?" I could hear the concern in his voice.

"Um, Ya? What the hell happened? What is going on? Why are you in my apartment?" He face became appalled.

"What? What on Earth are you talking about? This is our house, not our apartment."

"What?? No! We've only been on one date??" His eyes widened immensely at this point and looked down  at his hand, lightly tracing a ring on his left hand's ring finger up and down.

"Baby Girl, are you messing with me because I said you shouldn't have taken a sleeping pill? Because that thing knocked you out. You were out for 14 hours straight. With lots of tossing and turning, mumbling something about diners, Duke, and a stupid beebo..."

Now, Frank was not the only confused one here. "Wait, was that all a dream?"

"Possibly. Except for the part about Jason though. He was still haunting your dream."

"How do you know about Jason?" I was now majorly confused. If it was all a dream, how the hell did he know Jason was in it.

"You repeated 'No Jay stop' a few times. Baby girl, please tell me you're joking." He reached out his hand then, and started stroking the back of mine to soothe it.

"Me? Why on Earth would I be joking about this. Why are you joking about this?"

"Fine. I see how it's going to be. Do you remember anything about reality? And not this dream you had? Anything like when we got Duke, our wedding-"

"Wait what?? What do you mean wedding?" Frank sighed, reaching over to the bedside table. Holding a portrait frame, he slid it into my hands.

Looking at the picture, it was of Gee, Frank, and I stood on a beach. The three of us were in a line, myself in the middle because I always seem to be in the middle, and out hands clasped and in the air. We were on a beach, with myself in a knee length wedding dress and the latter in suits.

Seeing this picture, a flood of memories suddenly rushed to me. My eyes widened, taking in all of these memories and information I didn't think was real. Oh my god. We were married. We got Duke together as he was a gift to me. We planned on getting more, just not right now.

I could remember everything from how we met, them telling me about their 'vampire dealio', and now. I was at a loss for words or thoughts, held completely render-less to whatever it was. That dream really took a toll on me. I made myself a mental note to never take another sleeping pill again, even if I was up all night, to never have the fabric of my reality torn again. That is, assuming this was the real reality.

Feeling something nudge against my thigh, I looked down to see a half asleep Gerard snuggling into it. "Mhhh morning  sunshine. Glad to see you're finally awake."

Realizing I couldn't still revel in the fact that the dream felt so real but so weird, I replied. "Oh I'm sorry, did I wake you? I can leave and you can go back to sleep." Reaching down to brush the hair out of his face, Gee continued to keep his eyes shut, not wanting to open them to the overly bright streams of light entering from the window.

"Don't be silly! I'd always stay awake with you and Frankie." Upon hearing his name, Frank looked up from his book and to Gerard and smirked.

"As long as you keep that cute bed head and don't comb it."

They continued to smirk all I could do was lean back and take this all in. It had been in Uni, but I had taken a metaphysics course on reality, and it shouldn't have been anything world-view changing, but it felt like that. Maybe it was just a massive lucid dream?

I've never, not to my knowledge, experienced a lucid dream before so it could've been. I'd need to do a lot of research on it, but it felt like so many things were weird about it. It felt like I was in it for weeks, and even having a backstory... to a dream! This whole thing was feeling to weird by cause of a sleeping pill or was it?

My mind continued to spiral on and on as I kept a blank face, but was brought out of it when Gee too sat up and kissed my forehead. Looking up to look into his eyes, I saw they were filled with concern. I just smiled lightly, not wanting him to get worried.

"Cassie, are you alright?" I didn't turn to look at Frank, but I nodded, knowing he was watching me and my strange actions.

Gee made a noise of disapproval then. "Darling, we're married. We know when each other is not feeling alright but we don't want to resort to mind reading because that's an invasion of privacy." He stared directly into my eyes, but hugged me back when I wrapped my arms around him.

It was like I could remember everything from 'real life' and it all felt amazing and real, but the dream also felt real. Still unable to verbally communicate everything that was racing through my mind, I numbly nodded and leaned closer into Gerard's side. He played with the ends of my hair in a soothing manner, although my mind didn't soothe.

I soon felt another presence behind me, as I was embraced by another pair of arms. Thinking, 'can we lay down?' I was soon greeted by an actual answer.

"Of course zucchero." We lay surrounded by our duvet, still entangled, as they read my mind to attempt to understand what was making me so distraught.

<Thanks for reading! Sorry it's been a while but do you like the plot twist? What do you think this means? It's always been my plan to do this but I've been debating uploading the chapter in fear that whoever reads this will hate it, but I feel indifferent towards it. Laterz>
