Give Me a Chance

Emmett and Chance stand behind a wall, waiting till they see Alissa. They're beginning with phase one of Operation Axel as Emmett called it.

"Oh, there she is!" Chance says.

"Alright, Chance," Emmett says. "Phase one of Operation Axel is a go,"

Emmett presses record on the recording device and walks out from behind the wall and over to Alissa. "Hey, Lissa,"

"Oh, hey Em," Alissa says. "Have you seen Chance or Axel around lately..?"

"No, I haven't," Emmett says. "What even happened between all of you?"

Alissa frowns. "I'll tell you, but you can't tell anyone, okay?"

"Okay," Emmett says.

"Okay.. so.. it started when Dylan came up to me.." She says.

The last person Alissa expected to show up and talk to her is Dylan. She wondered why he wanted to talk to her.

"He asked me to help with a plan," Alissa says.

"I need help," Dylan said. "With what?" Alissa asked, confusion laced in her voice. "With a plan I have for the party," Dylan began. "I'll make you a deal.. I need you to do something that terminates Chance and Axel's relationship,"

Alissa frowned, recalling the memory. "I refused until Dylan said he had information about.. my brother.."

"Absolutely not!" Alissa said, beginning to walk away. "I have information on your brother," Dylan began. "And I'll give it to you if you do this for me,"

"I.. agreed, but in the end he didn't give me the information. He probably didn't have it in the first place.." Alissa says, feeling herself beginning to cry.

Emmett pulls Alissa into a tight embrace. "Oh, Lissa.." he breathes. "I'm so sorry.."

Alissa hugs Emmett back, but keeps herself from crying. "Thanks, Em.."

The school bell rings and the two pull away from each other.

"I should get to class.." Alissa mumbles.

"Same," Emmett says. "I'll see you after class, okay?"

"Okay," She says.

Alissa walks off to her next class and Emmett beckons Chance over. Emmett presses the 'stop recording' button and looks at Chance.

"We've got evidence," Emmett says. "Now all we need to do is set up that date, and I know just the person who will be able to help,"

"You want Lilly to help us?!" Chance asks, frowning slightly.

"C'mon, big bro," Lilly says. "I'm one of the best date setter-uppers, ever!"

Chance looks over at Emmett; who's smirking. "Is this really necessary?" He asks.

"C'mon, Chancey!" Lilly says. "Don't you trust me?"

Chance lets put a sigh. "Fineee. What do you have in mind?"

Lilly smiles brightly. "Well, first, we need to find you something to wear,"
