Ch 62

Mumbai

Chandhini stared at her notes not really digesting a single word. Gauri who was sitting next to her nudged her. They were at Gauri's place and chandhini was going through Gauri's notes for one of subject she was resitting.

Gauri, ''What happened, you don't look good.''

Chandhini looked at her, 'Nothing, I am good. Gauri can I ask you something personal?''

Gauri nodded.

Chandhini,''the person you are getting married to, do you love him?''

Gauri,'' Maybe,I am not sure what is love but I definitely respect him.''

Chandhini, 'why?''

Gauri, ' he knows my family is poor, so he didn't gave us a big dowry list. He only invited 100 people for wedding day, he wants a simple wedding. This has helped my family.''

Chandhini, 'Just that?''

Gauri, ' What else? We are starting a new life and he is making sure that I only have good memories of our wedding.''

Chandhini thought back to how her wedding had happened. Advay was not agreeing, then baba forced him but he hadn't smiled a single time. She knew because she had kept staring at him.

Chandhini, ' you know Gauri, you are really lucky and to be honest, you are so nice that you deserve it.''

Gauri laughed, '' Everyone is nice. you are nice too.''

Chandhini bitterly said, 'But I am very unlucky.''

Gauri,'' Don't say that. Do you want to talk about it?''

Chandhini, ' I wish I could but I can't.''

Gauri sighed, ' I am here, if you need me.''

Chandhini looked at her in misery but she was moving away to Calcutta after marriage and she will be alone in this city again.

Advay looked at chandhini she hadn't eaten anything for breakfast again. She was just playing with her food.

Advay,''for how long you will mourn? You patched up with Ayi so what is the issue?''

Chandhini didn't say anything.

Advay,'' You can't pressurise me this way.''

Chandhini looked up at him,'' Not everything is about you. I am not forcing you for anything. I am getting late for my class. Bye'' She lied as there was no class today but she needed to get away from him. She had started to hate his presence.

Advay watched her go frustrated. His eyes fell on her plate. She will get sick. He couldn't finish his breakfast either and pushed the plate away. She had been hiding in that room of hers ever since they came back. She didn't talk to him and stayed away from him. If all this was not to pressurize than what else was it? How did their perfect get away ended in this fiasco?  The thought of having a child with her was not as repulsive as it used to be but still she was so young and head strong and immature. Will she be able to live up to the responsibility of a child? children demanded attention and total dedication. If they had a kids then, he will have to shift to Mumbai so others could look after the baby too. Also, he will wait for some years until she grew up a bit more. should I tell her this or wait a bit? better to wait until she finished her exams and then, he will discuss it with her.
