Star crossed lovers

Chandhini went with advay to a weekend party.Her exams were going to start after it and she was glad,she won't have to attend anymore parties. The dress code was silver and blue for women and black and red for men.

On the way back chandhini remembered that her contraceptive pills finished this morning. She asked advay to stop the car at a 24/7 pharmacy, he was busy talking with someone on mobile but paused and instructed driver.

Chandhini didn't want driver to know about the medicines, so she got out of the car and went inside. There were two guys there in the shop and both started staring at her open mouthed.

Chandhini belatedly realized that she was in full party make up and her pallu was see through, her blouse backless and it was almost 11:30 in night and she was buying contraceptive pills. She should have sent in the driver! She mentally cursed herself and quickly told one of the guy the name of tablets.

Then, she stared at counters, ignoring the gazes on her.Then, the guy told her that that they were out of stock.

Chandhini replied,'' Give me something similar but it should be of good quality.''

The guy took one packet and said,'' These are good.'' His eyes were on her body.

The clothes which seemed normal when compared to other party members looked too revealing here. She decided to change the designer.

Chandhini said, ''Okay.''

The guy packed it and gave it to her.

She paid and strode out quickly and went back to the car where advay was just coming out probably to look for her.

Next day Chandhini helped gauri finalise all the preparations for her wedding. She had helped gauri in her wedding preparation, studied and did tuitions for past few months. Now she was feeling the after effects of it. She was constantly tired.

Chandhini had stopped the tuitions for two months as she had some cash saved and she will start after exams. She will need to find a place too since Gauri will be moving away.

Even though chandhini had studied very hard for her exams but as they were coming closer, she was feeling less confident and more anxious.

Gauri's wedding was few days before her exams and even though she was happy for gauri but she felt sad for herself.

The way bride and groom were comfortable with each other, their secret glances, and happiness of groom. It was all painful to watch.

Gauri wasn't even half beautiful as chandhini but there was a glow about her and when gauri was taken to mandap, a lady standing near to chandhini said to another lady, ''she is not wearing much jewellery'' the other lady replied,'' See the groom, he can't take his eyes off her. What more she need?'' The first lady nodded,''Yes.''

After coming home, chandhini kept thinking about it, the things the two ladies were talking about, no matter how much she tried, she could not get over it. She took off her own diamond jewellery, showered and dressed in normal wear but thoughts followed her.

She went downstairs and tried to study there because she didn't want to stay in room and fall asleep. Advay came late and after seeing her study went upstairs.

Her first four exams went fine, and now she was worried about last one as it was of prof. Romila. She wanted to score as high as possible in this subject because that women was her role model. Lately chandhini has started to think that maybe she should think about career in teaching.
