Connor knew he shouldn't be so blunt with Evan. Truth was he didn't want to talk to anyone. The 'Family Meeting' thing was bs, he just didn't want to hang out with anyone, or do anything.
It's because he got his hopes up. Since him and Evan started talking his parents hadn't fought. He had a friend. Life was great.
And then he spiralled down. His parents fought, he felt like he'd fucked up with Evan and he had a massive, as far as he was concerned, unreturned crush of Evan Hansen.
