If you don't want to slowly get out of touch with everything else around you - you need to make punctuality a habit. Showing up late will make you miss some of opportunities in your life. Favorable chances are the only kind of birds that never perches so if you show up late you miss them. When you are always late you are showing little regard for other's time, besides being unrealiable too. You are screwing up the schedules of people who are punctual. You are robbing their times.
Being on time is one way of showing that other's time is as precious as yours. It is one of the ways to keep yourself busy and keeping your words. Though time is free -it is priceless. Never ever be a thief of other's time because it is their only resources that cannot be replenished. Once it is lost - it can never get back!
