The One With The Prologue

DECEMBER, 1991.

Eight  year old Lily Stark giggled innocently at her brothers attempts to make her laugh as she was cuddled up in a huge blanket that covered her tiny frame.

"Again Tony, do it again" she sang happily and laughed her head off when Tony pulled a silly face behind their fathers back.

Tony smiled at his sister , his heart warming at the sight of his sister.

Lily is awfully teased at school for here elite mind.

The Stark's are known for being quite a smart family but Lily was very different from her family.

Lily had the ability to deduce pretty much anything  and absorb information into her mind palace at the very young age of  four.

Since she was smarter than everyone in her school she was terribly picked on by students in her class.

Although Lily was very smart, she had a huge heart and would get terribly upset over the kids in her class.

Tony, home from college , noticed her behaviour and decided to lighten up his sister's mood.

Tony laughs at his little sister, before moving towards and pulling her onto his lap, tickling her.

"How are you now Little Dove" Tony laughs as Lily squirms and laughs on his lap.

"Tony, let me go please" Lily gasps, her blonde curly locks spilling over Tony's lap.

Howard turns around and looks sharply at Tony.

"Anthony, put her down. Cant you see i'm on the phone"

Tony stops and gently puts Lily back onto the couch and pretends to mimic Howard, making Lily giggle into her blanket.

Maria Stark bounces elegantly down the stairs, her blonde curly hair reaching above her shoulder. Her eyes glance at Howard and brighten when they reach her two children.

Maria walks over to Tony and kisses his forehead before pulling away.

"Take care of yourself and Lily, now. We wont be gone for long and if you need help, ask Jarvis"

Tony smiles softly at his mother. "Will do"

Maria looks at her daughter and smiles. "You be  good, Little Dove. No more adventures until we get home"

Lily grins at her mother and wraps her petite arms around her mother. "I promise no adventures until your home."

Maria smiles softly and kisses her forehead.

Looking at both of her children she smiles and says an "i love you" before walking out.

Howard reappears into the room, a book in his hand. Bending down he hands it to Lily.

"Here you go Little Dove, a book on astrophysics that you wanted." 

Lily grins happily at her father. "Thank you Papa!"

Howard chuckles softly kissing her cheek before turning to Tony.

"Be good Anthony. See you soon" he says patting his son on the shoulder before exiting the room.

Tony sighs heavily before turning to his little sister." What will we do now."

Lily laughs, poking her head out of the book she had already immersed herself into.

"I'm going to read my book brother, but i think that in approximately 1 minutes and 43 seconds you're going to go to your room and grab your phone and talk to your latest girlfriend, Janine" Lily deduced before continuing her book.

Tony, used to Lily's behaviour, laughed at his sister before sitting their for a few moments before going upstairs. 

A few days passed and Lily had finished her book and Tony spent most of his time on his phone.

Both Stark children were eating dinner when Jarvis entered the room, a grief stricken look on his face.

"Mr and Miss Stark, i'm afraid i have some awful news to tell you."

December 16th 1991, Howard and Maria Stark died in a car accident en route to Pentagon.

Tony Stark gained custody of Lily Stark and with the help of Edwin Jarvis raised Lily Stark.

Lily and Tony became even closer than before. Realising they only had each other and Jarvis.

2000 upwards

Time flew by and Lily grew older and older.

She grew a name for herself and so did Tony.

Tony took over the company and became a playboy and Lily became a consulting detective who helped New York with crimes they couldn't solve.

Lily was famously known for her mind and her looks. Books were written about her and other sorts as she became a figure for young girls to idol.

Tony then announced himself as Iron Man and Lily couldn't have been more proud of her bigger brother.

During the Loki fiasco, Lily was in London with a case.

Once she had returned Nick Fury immediately offered her a position on the team, and she declined, stating that she doesn't work well with others, but will help whenever it is needed.

Lily and Tony still remain very close. Lily lived in an apartment not far from the tower. Tony begged Lily to stay in the tower but she declined, wanting to have her own space.

Lily and The Avengers thought that they would have some time off now after dealing with Loki, but they were sorely mistaken.

It was only the beginning.
