It took a lot for Lily to be angry, she wasn't the type of person to get mad, but thinking of Ivan Bass made her want to break up his stupid pretty face. The cheek of him to act that way, putting his hand on her thigh, being so suggestive. Lily could feel her hands trembling, either from nerves or anger.
She wasn't an emotional person, she never was. Being a Stark, the principle of faking it till you make it was her motto. It's how she could detach herself from cases. But, there was something about Ivan Bass that she couldn't stop thinking about.
He was a smart man, she could tell by the way he presents himself. He uses his looks for his advantage to manipulate people, almost like it was magic. He reminded her of Loki. Both were incredibly attractive and smart. They both could play the crowd and fit in for their own personal needs. They challenged her.
Ivan Bass was no ordinary man, that she knew. There was something about him that was so alluring.
Rubbing her hand on her face, she tied back her long blonde hair. She had gone straight up to her room after the interview with Bass, quickly telling Steve to keep an eye out for the escape.
She did believe him when he said he would break out. He hasn't lied to her yet, she knew that. She couldn't read him properly and it scared her. She was so used to being in control of situations like these, that's why it is such a surprise to catch her off guard.
She was so wrapped up in her mind palace that she didn't notice the loud alarm piercing throughout the Tower.
Loki bursts through the door and notices Lily sitting on her chair by her desk, arms holding her head, her eyes closed. Yes, she did look very cute like that, but Loki couldn't think like that right now.
He quickly went over to her, shaking her gently but firmly. " Lily, come on focus"
Lily's eyes quickly open to notice Loki up in her personal space, hands wrapped around her face. His hands were cold but they shaped perfectly around her petite face, a white chill tingling down her spine.
Loki noticed and blushed slightly before pushing away, then his face hardened. "Bass broke out, no one can find him"
Lily immediately got up, a small smirk on her face, showing her dimples. "Oh, this is excellent! Fabulous"
She walked out of the room, slipping the phone into her back pocket. Loki quickly caught up, a look of alarm on his face. "And how is it fabulous dear Lily," he said bemused at the grinning blonde.
She flicked her ponytail behind her shoulder before looking at Loki, breaking into a sprint around the corner.
"Because he is not ordinary"
Loki couldn't reply as she had gone into one of the many rooms on the new hallway.
He sighed before running to get the other Avengers for backup.
