Lily was bored. Her and Loki had no cases to work on. After the whole fiasco with Ellie and her sponsor, Lily had recruited Loki into helping her on cases. What really happens is Loki watching Lily do everything, and looking pretty while doing it.
Clint and Tony were devastated when Lily informed them that Loki was now her assistant.
Tony and Clint whined about how they should get to be her assistant rather than Loki.
The others didn't really mind as log as Loki kept Lily safe.
Loki on the other hand, was having slight difficulty with the Avengers.
The only thing they had in common was Lily, and it felt awkward when she wasn't there.
10.27 a.m.
Lily grumbled down the stairs, her long blonde curls like a bird's nest resting on her head.
She walked into the kitchen where everyone was.
She sat beside Loki, who put his book away once she sat and he greeted her a good morning.
Lily groaned, banging her head against the table dramatically. "Its not a good morning" she mumbled, her mouth placed on the table.
Loki laughed before sighing happily at Lily.
"I don't understand how you don;t like the mornings, they are quite beautiful. Birds chirping, the city roars to life"
Clint groans before flinging himself at Natasha. "Make the pain stop please, help meh"
Natasha grunts and pushes the male off of her. "Its your own fault for drinking Clinton"
Clint wails dramatically before placing his head into his hands, rubbing his hair vigorously.
Tony bounces down the stairs, radiating as much as his arc reactor.
Tony plants a kiss on Lily's cheek. "Morning Little Dove"
Lily grunts a reply before standing up and reaching for the coco pops beside Steve.
Steve smiles brightly at Lily before handing her the cereal.
" Mornin' "
Lily sits back down and starts to make her cereal.
Natasha looks at Tony. "When is Bruce back"
Tony smirks before wiggling his eyebrows. "Hes back next Tuesday. Why? You miss your lover boy"
Natasha rolls her eyes before picking up her spoon and holding it in a threatening position. "Ill shove this spoon so far up your-"
"Woah! That's enough guys" Steve intervenes, a light blush coating his cheeks.
Natasha once again rolls her eyes before eating her cereal.
2.30 p.m.
Loki and Lily were in the library, both relaxing in the chairs, a look of content on both of their faces.
Lily showed Loki some of her favourite books, and he was simply enthralled by them.
From Stephen King to George R.R. Martin, he was impressed by many works from Earth.
They continued to read until Steve burst through the door, and then blushed when he saw Loki and Lily looking at him, a look of annoyance on their faces.
"Hey um, Tony told me that you have some books from WW2 here, do you mind helping me please" Steve said blushing while looking at Lily.
"Yeah sure" Lily smiled before placing her book down and grabbing Steve's hand, which made him even more red, before walking off to the non-fiction side.
Grabbing multiple books for the the blue eyed soldier she brought them back to where Loki was.
"Are you gonna read them in your room or here" she questioned, her hand itching for her book.
"Um do you mind if i stay here"
"Yes"
"Loki!"
Loki rolled his eyes before continuing his book. Lily gestured for Steve to sit down and he did, cracking open one of the books that Lily had picked out for him.
Smiling at him one last time, she immersed herself into the world of Jay Gatsby, and his great love Daisy.
The three began to read together, as minutes flew by, Loki who was reading Harry Potter And The Order Of Phoenix flung his book across the room.
"No.No. I am never reading that again. What was that. WHAT the BLOODY hell was THAT"
Lily smirked and Steve looked confused.
"Chapter 35, beyond the veil?"
Loki nods, pain etched across his face. "That is so horrible, why would J.K. Rowling do that?"
Steve looks at Loki and smiles. "You're reading Harry Potter?"
Loki looks at questionably at Steve. "Yes, have you read them"
"Yeah after we watched the movie the other night"
"Oh"
It didn't take long for the two boys to engage in a conversation and Lily smiled happily.
Loki was breaking out of his shell, slowly but surely.
Lily smirked into her book.
One Avenger down, Five to go.
