"Just bend your legs and go down the slope. It's not that hard." I said, sitting on the rails in the RA first floor podium, watching as Elliot gripped on tightly to the handles of his bike with his legs touching the floor.
"I'm gonna crash into the plant!"
"Your legs are so long, dude! If you feel like you're gonna fall just put your feet on the ground. It's not that hard." Jay said, sitting on his own rental bike, watching us. Martin and Adrian trying and learning how to drift on a bike, while Jason was next to Jay, watching in amusement. Karyn had left her bike on the podium as she went down to bring Anson up, so I was messing around on her bike.
Slowly, Elliot let his legs bend upwards, and the bike slowly edged down the slope before Elliot stomped his feet back on the ground. "No, I can't do this. I'm gonna crash and you guys are going to laugh." I immediately covered up my mouth, pretending I wasn't already laughing.
"Oh my fücking god we've already been here half an hour and you won't even try and go down the slope." I groaned, head cradled in my face. "So you're not afraid to get beat up in a fight, but you are afraid of going down that tiny slope?"
"Easy for you to say! You know how to bike!"
"And I'm trying to teach you!"
"Hello guys." Anson said, accentuating his words. "Oh, does Elliot still don't know how to ride a bike?"
"Yes." We all droned, all frustrated by the lack of progress with this stubborn literal hunk of metal.
"You know what? Anson, you can teach Elliot. I'm going to actually ride my bike instead of demonstrating how to go down a fücking slope." I fumed and rode off. Jason and Jay followed suit and rode down the slope to the ground level.
As I neared the first slope, I noticed that there were a couple of steps next to it, and decided to go down those. Gripping onto the handles tightly, I braced myself as I bumped down, and sighed in relief when I landed on one piece. Martin, who had seen me go down, rode his bike over to watch. "What are you doing, wamen?"
"You try going down the steps!" I called, and he shrugged, before riding down the steps. As he went down, his bike buckled up and down, making him bounce up and down on the uncomfortable bike seat.
"Ah, my ass!" He yelled in pain, and glared at me.
"Hey, don't glare at me! It's not my fault you're a guy, and isn't it obvious it would hurt?"
He scoffed, and we both went back up the hill. Karyn seemed to have finally caught up with Anson, because she was glaring daggers at me. "Give me back my bike!"
"Catch me if you can!"I began to speed up, zooming into the bushes where a tiny maze was set up.
"You're going to break my bike! You're paying for it!"
I heard Martin's laughter behind me as he watched me grow through the bush. "It's free lawn-mowing service. 100% effective and no fees required."
I rode out safely from the bush, and Karyn held onto it. "Off. Now."
"Fine, jeez. Chill." I hopped off and went back to my own rental bike and made a childish face at her. "Those wheels match you."
"I'm not that much shorter than you!"
"I know. Honestly, Karyn, stop taking everything seriously. You're supposed to be the not-serious one."
"What do you mean! I'm so serious! I'm very serious." She humphed, and looked at me down her nose, while required her to lean her head back in doing so.
