"I swear, I am about to throw you off this building!"

Now, in my head, I'm pretty sure I've said that millions of times. Whether it's to threaten to toss someone out the window or over the railing, throwing someone off a building had always seemed like such an exciting thing, except for the fact that it was illegal.

Yeah, such a pity.

But now, with my abilities to move things with my mind, I could save them a second before they went splat on the ground. Handy thing, ain't it? It wasn't the first time I had thrown someone off a building though. First time there was Alpha, allowed to be my little test subject and get thrown off a building several times. Second time there was with Charlotte, to test if Alicia's gravity manipulation was strong enough to hold a person.

All for experimental reasons, all for a good cause, swear to all the gods that might exist (don't go yelling at me for how I'm atheist and don't believe in god so it doesn't count). But now, after being dragged to go shopping with Alyssa and Lottie, Ruby and I were casually chatting at the back as the both of them went into shop after shop.

The problem with having a near limitless credit card account, courtesy of Chase's rich as fück and also evil dad. Now the girls could shop till they drop and be fine.

And I would be dragged on these tireless missions for their new wardrobe.

Okay, I'm not going to diss shopping altogether, since I do occasionally have to go shopping every time I end up growing a lot and nothing helps. But shopping for me means buying two shirts, two pairs of pants, and keep alternating between the two outfits. Not buying a million different outfits and only end up wearing one outfit.

While they looked at skirts and dresses, I was examining a pendant in the shape of an arrowhead. Looking around, I lifted the bags they had made me carry with my telekinesis, and used my hands to investigate the small charm. It looked so real, like an actual antique knife, but the grooves on the edges gave it away. It was impossible to fight or inflict harm with a knife like that.

Dropping the charm in defeat, I looked to my side to see an old woman looking at me strangely. I gave her a sweet smile, before wiping her mind of me and my powers. Picking up the bags again, I continued following them around, occasionally making a small joke with Rubes, and both ended up laughing so hard the other two actually looked behind to wonder what we were doing.

As we walked past this Japanese cheesecake shop, I saw there were four pieces of cheesecake sample on the counter. Each piece was at least a quarter of the size of the cheesecake, so using my telepathy to suggest the shop assistant look away, I snatched up all four pieces of samples and looked gleefully at my prize. "Seriously?" Ruby asked as we walked past the shop as if nothing had happened, me happily munching on a piece of cheesecake. "All four?"

"Food for the poor," I replied, not munching anymore (Rubes insists that I shouldn't chew with my mouth open, which I respected), and instead squished the cheesecake in my cheek so that she couldn't see the chewed up food. "This lady needs a lot of sugar to keep up her energy."

"This lady is going to get diabetes."

"Eh, it's okay. My sister did a volunteer session in the diabetic department in Princes of Wales Hospital. It only shows up when you're old, and I'm otherwise fully healthy anyways." I hummed the tune of "Die Young" under my breath, and Rubes gave me a withering glance.

"Let's not."

I gave her a childish pout, and we continued on our trek through the shopping mall, with me buying food and candy the entire way through. Just as I was devouring my third ice-cream, Lottie gave an annoyed sigh. "Can you please stop eating? It's distracting."
