Summer Camp

Chapter Four

I go back to the cabin. I need to find Lexie.

Great, she isn't here. Where did she say she was going to be?

SWIMMING WITH DANNY.

I throw on my green and white striped 2-peice and grab a towel. I threw on a green cover-up dress and walked down to the lake.

I see Addie and her Pinks in, you guessed it, pink bikinis tanning on their pink (didn't see that one coming, right?) towels.

They don't see me thakfully and I see Lexie swimming alone.

I slip off my cover and hop into the water and whisper, "Lexie!"

She sees me and swims over to me. We stay standing on the shallow end because I'm not a strong swimmer.

"What happened to running with Brady?" She whispers after looking around and spotting Addie.

"Well, it was really awkward then he asked if he did something wrong and I asked if he liked Addie," I stop to take a breath. I'm talking very quickly. "And he said no and he said he hated how she ruined his chances with all girls and I said," stop for another breath, "that when the right girl comes along she wouldnt care about Addie. And he said he wished I was that girl." I stop and catch my breath.

Lexie gasps and says, "He said that?!"

"Yes!!"

"Then what happened?!?"

"Well, I said I didn't like him and he kissed my cheek. Then left. Then ALEX CAME! And he said he saw the whole thing pretty much but heard me say I didn't like Brady. And then HE kissed my cheek."

She gasps again. "DANG GURL!"

"I know! But I really like Alex." I had just finished saying that when Danny swims up to us.

"Hey, Lex." He says.

She smiles and says, "Hiya."

I just stand there awkwardly. They finally stop mentally unclothing each other and Lexie says, "Oh Danny! This is Grace." I smile.

Danny says, "Hi, Grace. New girl?"

I nod. He goes back to smiling at Lexie and she blushes.

"Imma leave now.." I say.

Lexie says, "Okay bye!" And Danny just waves.

I get out and put my cover-up on and wrap my towel around my shoulders. I start walking back to the cabin then all of a sudden a blonde-haired, pink-clothed girl is standing right in front of me.

"Addie. Hey." I smile.

She crosses her arms and says, "I saw Brady kiss your cheek." She scowls at me.

"I told him that I didn't want to be anything more than friends, Addie. I promise."

She nods her head and smiles. "I know. I heard you say that. I'm glad you're smarter than some dumb old senior. One of that dumb girl's friends, Kayleigh is her name?" She rolls her eyes and laughs.

"Kayleigh isn't dumb and neither was her friend," I say.

"She didn't follow my directions. I told her to stay away from Brady and she could've saved herself a lot of trouble if she would've listened to me."

I put my hand on my hip and say, "You don't control who hangs out with Brady. He is his own person and you're just his STALKER. He wishes you would just leave him alone. He. Doesnt. Like. You."

She snaps and says, "Grace, you better watch yourself. Stay away from my Brady, or else."

"Or else WHAT?"
