Summer Camp

Chapter Three

We wake up, and I can't say that I slept well. All I was thinking about was Alex, Brady, and who ever has slept in these sheets before me.. and if they washed them.. and what they did in them.. Guh. 

I wake up at around 6 and take a quick shower. There were many shelves, all decorated with types of shampoo, body wash, shower gel, shaving gel, face wash, etc. I took a fast ten minute shower because in my first morning, I'd rather not get on everyone's bad side by taking all of the hot water. No matter how badly I wanted to wash off the feel of those sheets... 

Kayleigh is the second awake. She takes a quick 5 minute shower.  I was fast, but I wasn't that fast. But then again, she's had three years of practice of taking quick showers.

I make my bed quietly and set out my outfit for today. I've chosen to make sure to not wear anything pink for Addie. Instead, I just throw on jean shorts and a "Jedson Summer Camp" t-shirt that I got in the mail.  

Kayleigh comes out of the bathroom and says, "I see you're sporting your camp gear." She points to my shirt. I nod. Lexie wakes up next and I'm eager to hear all about her new man.

She yawns, "Can't I take a shower first?"  

"Fine. But hurry up!" I say, smiling.  

She takes her shower. Ella and Haley are still sound asleep.  

Finally, Lexie comes out of the bathroom after about 15 minutes and me flipping through my magazine twice.  

She towel dries her hair and I sit on her bunk bed next to her. "So who is your new guy?!"  

She smiles and says "Well, his name is Danny. He was swimming with me."  

"I thought you went to play basketball with Kayleigh?"  

"She whooped me! So I went to go swimming and he was swimming with some of his guy friends but came to say hi to me!" I smile. She blushes and says, "He's super cute and funny and asked me to go to Arts and Crafts with him today."  

"Awwww!" I say, smiling like crazy. "I'm so happy for you!"  

She says, "I'm happy for you, too! I heard you were running with Alex and took a spill!"  

"Yeah. Tripped in the woods. Passed out after hitting my head on a rock." I point to my band-aid on my forehead. "Yikes. What'd Alex do?" She asks. 

Now it's my turn to blush.  

"Well, while I was out he carried me to the medical station. Then he gave me a piggy back ride all the way to my cabin because he felt bad."  

"AWWWWWWW!" She squeaks. 

I turn to look at Ella and Haley. Still asleep.  Kayleigh's making her bed, not paying attention to us.  

"That is so cute. He definitely likes you." She says, smiling.  

"I've only known him a day."

"So what! I bet it was love at first sight!" She sighs happily.

I laugh a little.  "Maybe."  

Ella and Haley wake up after Kayleigh takes their blankets off of them. They groan and get ready to go to breakfast. We sit down at our table and we're about 20 minutes early.  

Lexie squeals at the sight of Danny, and I have to admit he's pretty cute. But I would never take my friend's crush. It's just not what I do.  

I see Alex with his face down at his table and say, "Imma go talk to Alex," to my table. They all say "oooooh."
