First impression of Jedson Summer Camp? Huge. The camp is humongous. There are brightly colored small houses that look like dollhouses surrounding the camp in no specific pattern, they're just placed in a spot and that's their home. To the west, there is a huge pond that looks like a small lake but with no beach, it's just grass. There is one big main building with a sign saying, "Main Hall." I'm guessing that's where we eat at? Remember that I'm a complete newcomer and these are wild guesses.

Immediately, I see kids running around. I should specify what this camp actually is. It's a high-schoolers only camp. Kids that are going to be freshman can come, through kids that are going to be seniors can come.

Everyone already has their cliques, but it isn't going to be like being a new girl in school because there are new-coming freshman that are as clueless as I am. I can tell that people come with their friends.

Me? I came with myself and some pink suitcases filled with clothes and shoes. I'm a very athletic person, but I love fashion.

Look at me, talking like I am already in the camp and walking around. Nope. I'm sitting in the car with my mom, just taking the entire giant camp in and processing that I'm going to be spending my summer here. I'm quite nervous.

My mom grabs my hand and smiles at me. "You better get going, Grace. You can't sit in the car the entire summer."

I sigh and say, "I know I can't, Mom."

"Your daddy and I are going to miss you, sweetheart."

"I'm going to miss you, too."

"In the packet it said there is no way to talk to you unless I drive here."

"Oh, Mom, please don't. I'm begging you."

She laughs and says, "I won't. But we'll be thinking about you!" I kiss her cheek and get my bags from the back. I close the door and step back so my mom can drive off. I wave as she disappears and is headed for home.

I slip the packet out from my purse and look at it. Where the heck am I supposed to go and how am I not supposed to get lost here?! How wonderful, there is no map. It comes with a rubber bracelet that is light purple, though.

"Awesome! Free bracelet!" I say whilst slipping it on my wrist. Why would a summer camp give out free bracelets, and why this weird lavender color? This place is weird.

I start walking towards the main hall, figuring that maybe there is a counselor or someone in there to tell me what to do when I see two shirtless guys running and one points at me, looks back at the other guy, then starts running towards me. Holy cow, those abs... Stop, Grace! He can see that you're staring! Keep it together, girl! Oh gosh, he's coming over here. I scream inside and wave at him.

He stops when he's right in front of me and says, "You're a newbie," while smiling at me.

I smile and say, "Hello to you, too."

He laughs and says, "Sorry, I guess that did sound a bit rude."

"Just a bit. But yes, I am new. Is it that obvious?"

"Well, I'm going in to be a Sophomore and from being here all last summer, you get to know pretty much everyone at camp. There's only about forty-five people."

"Seriously? With this camp being so big, I figured it would have way more people than that."

"Everyone thinks that. Do you need some help?"

"Yes, I do. I'm totally lost."

"Wow, you really are very new."

"New to this state, new to this camp, new new new."
