"Gravy!"
I turn around smiling at my nickname. "Butter!" I say, laughing.
Alex raises an eyebrow at Riley and I and questions, "What did he just call you?"
I laugh and say, "Long story." Riley catches up to Alex and I, holding hands, heading to the main hall for breakfast. I've been going to breakfast with him after sleeping in his cabin. It's much easier than rushing back to mine.
I've been spending more time with Riley, the same amout of time with Alex, and less and less time with Brady. Things were awkward between us and we just gradually full-on started avoiding each other. It's not what I wanted, but it hurt him to be around me and I could tell.
Also, with me out of his head he can find another great girl that's worthy of him. For now, I'm just happy with Alex. But things have been boring lately at camp. No drama.. just boring.
So, in a way, I've been spending less time with Alex, also. Don't get me wrong, I love him, but it's just getting boring.. We've ran out of things to talk about. So, I've been spending more time with Riley.
I'm slowly remembering what our relationship was like. He was the sweetest guy in the world and that's how I fell for him so easily back in fifth grade.. it feels like forever ago. And he's still sweet so it's easy to see why Kayleigh instantly fell for him. He talks about Kayleigh a lot and Kayleigh talks about him, I'm like the middle (wo)man. I just want to say "TELL HIM/HER ALREADY!"
Back from my little flashback .I realize both Alex and Riley are watching me.
"Huh?" I ask, obviously missing something.
"Want to go to my cabin after breakfast?" Asks Riley.
Alex just looks at me. He was first worried about Riley and I but I promised him he shouldn't be and now Alex realizes we're just friends.
But Riley is in Blue cabin..Brady, Brady, Brady..
"Um.. no thanks."
He frowns at me. "I need to talk to you.."
"Okay. About what?"
"I just need to talk to you. Please, Blue cabin after breakfast?"
"Okay, fine. I'll be there."
"Thank you." He gives me a quick hug which is challenging because Alex does not unlock our fingers the whole time.
"No problem, Butter."
He smiles. "Cya, Gravy!" He runs off.
Alex, still connected to me, smiles.
"What?"
He says, "Wonder what he's gunna talk to you about." Alex winks.
"I don't know." I say, shrugging.
Alex laughs and says, "He might confess his love for you."
"No! He will not."
Will he..?
~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I walk into Blue. Riley, sitting on a bunk bed, smiles at me.... and so does Brady, sitting right beside him.
"I'll leave you guys alone." Riley says, hopping up and walking out.
"N-no.." I whisper, but he's already gone.
"Grace, please sit down?" Brady says, patting the bed beside him.
"What's this about?" I ask, not sitting down.
