didn't know what was bothering him. It must be something terrible. Wesley didn't seem to be the kind of guy to get upset over nothing. I nodded.

As we walked up and through the doors, I could feel him looking at me. My heart beat faster.

The halls had a good number of students still heading to their classes. We both went different directions. He kept looking back at me as he walked away.

"So you're the girl he's obsessed with, huh?" I jumped a little bit from the smooth, masculine voice that sounded next to me. I turned to see a pair of amber eyes eyes and messy black hair. He was a couple inches taller than me and was leanly built. He was cute, but he wasn't anything compared to Wes. I continued my way down the hall, but he walked right next to me. "I can see why. You're pretty." I kept walking. Even though I should've been flattered, his compliment sounded too flirty. I didn't like him.

I could already tell he was slightly superficial. "I'm Dylan," he said it as if I was actually engrossed in him talking to me. After a few seconds, I suddenly remembered what Elena had said. That one time in the library, something about Wes hurting someone over a comment towards his family. That the guy who Wes had hurt was named Dylan.

"Ah. So you've heard?" How was he so good at reading me? "Did.. did Wes...?" Dylan nodded, then ran a hand through his dark bangs, revealing what appeared to be a faded mark above his right eye. "He gave me this," his voice had switched to an angrier tone. I didn't know what to say. I felt awful. How could Wes do such a thing? I couldn't look Dylan in the eye. I didn't want to think that the fact that the boy I was uncontrollably falling in love with had done something like that. My heart wrenched from the thought of it.
