"I just want to warn you," Dylan continued. "Be careful. You seem like a good girl. Don't," He paused, "Don't get caught up in someone like him, okay?" I nodded. I really needed to talk to Wes about all of this. His amber eyes looked me over briefly. He shook his head as if trying to shake away a thought, then he walked away.

I was two seconds close to being late. Everyone was talking animatedly to each other except Janet. She was sitting in the back reading, her hair in two braids today. The bell rang as soon as I took my seat next to her. Janet actually smiled at me as I sat down. I set my backpack down on the floor and took out my homework.

"You seem happy," I said. Janet blushed as she looked at me. Her expression was that of a little girl who just got winked at by a boy she likes. "Well... I don't know if Elena has said anything about her trip to Spain to you, but she's hinting at me that she may get to take a friend with her." I smiled. "Yeah, Elena told me on the bus. I'm guessing she's taking you?" I couldn't help but feel giddy for Janet. The way she smiled and looked so happy, it just was contagious. Especially since I've never seen Janet look excited. "I don't know if Elena could make it any more obvious. Besides, I've always wanted to go to Europe," Janet grinned.

"Have fun," I told her. As I looked over my neatly-done homework, my thoughts went back to Wes. How could I address what Dylan had said? I didn't have time to think about it though, since Ms. Crenshaw's obnoxious voice interrupted my thoughts.

"Get out your homework from last night." Everyone quieted down. I sighed, looking at the clock. In about an hour, it would be geometry. The one class I have with Wesley.

Once class ended, I quickly rushed to geometry. I was beyond excited at the thought of seeing Wes again.
