This will be the shortest chapter and the last in Family Arc.
A knock at the door starttled Percy. He looked up from his seat at the table where he was doing his homework. He knew it wasn't his dad, he would've told his mother at least a week in advance. His mother was taking a shower and would leave him alone for at least twenty minutes so he didn't know if he should answer it. Percy tried to forget about the knock and continue his homework but the voice spoke, "Sally? Perseus? Is anyone home?"
His head shot up and looked at the door with a wide smile. "Dad!" He jumped off his chair and ran to the door opening it.
There stood Loki. He bent down and picked up his son in a hug, a wide smile was on his face as he hugged his son. One hand was around his waist and the other held his head closer to him. It had been almost an entire year since he last saw him and he missed his fifth birthday, and he felt so bad for that. So today it was going to be him and Percy spending time together. Loki knew that after today he wasn't going to be able to see him again.
"Get ready," Loki told his son setting him down.
"Why?" Percy looked up to his dad.
"You and I are going to spent today together because I wasn't with you for your birthday," Loki smiled and ruffled his small childs hair.
"But what about mom?" Percy said from the doorway to his room.
"We'll leave a note," Loki said to his son as he sat down to begin writing. He looked around to find some paper a decided to just take a piece from Percy's notebook. Flipping it to the back he ripped one out and grabbed Percy's pencil and began to write the note to Sally:
Dear Beloved,
I'm sorry for not infroming you that I will be visiting. I couldn't.
For the rest of the day I will be spending the day with Percy for not being there for his birthday. You do not need to worry about him not coming back, I will bring him home when he is tired and needs rest.
I could not tell you this in person for it would hurt me and break your heart, and I know that it would deeply sorrow Perseus.
Thor has been banished from Asgard. Cassed away to Midgard for being arrogant rude, and bloodthirsty for war. And that is not what father wants for the next king. Till Thor is no longer banished, I will help rule Asgard with father. It may take days, months, even years. So please, while I am gone, find another father for Percy. One that will love and care for him as I have and will till my death.
From our child's father and Lover for all time,
Loki
"I'm ready!" Percy yelled as he ran to his father. He put on his clothes from school and his muddy light up sketchers.
"Great, then we shall be going,"

Sally left the shower, her towel still on her head as she came out in her pajamas. The apartment was quiet. Too quiet. It set her on edge. Walking down the hall she entered Percy's room, looking for her son whom seemed to be hiding, but she couldn't find him anywhere. "Percy?" She called as she looked again before leaving to go look somewhere else.
She checked her room, nothing.
Living room, nothing.
Her mother's anxiety was kicking in. Fear for her son's safety was prominent on her face as she yelled out for him. His homework was in the counter still not done, but a note left in Loki's handwriting was on the table. She picked it up and began to cry.
Tears welled in her eyes as she read the letter. She knew the dangers of being in love with a god, the struggles they would've had and gotten if Loki stayed a little longer each visit. She understood what he must do, but she didn't know how she was going to tell Percy.
