"Be good, alright?" Tony jokes to his ten year old nephew. "I don't need Fury telling me that my mischievous nephew caused the whole building to collapse on itself."
"I am related to you, so no promises, old man." Percy walked up to the tall, short blond haired guy. When he was standing just a foot away, Percy stopped talking. He was afraid of the man in front of him. He had no idea who he was or what he could do to the ten year old that looked small and shy. "A-Are you Mr.-Mr. Barton?"
"Just call me Clint, kid." Clint chuckled at Percy. "You must be who Nat was talking about. I swear, you're like her child. Always showing pictures and telling funny stories of you. Kinda unsettling."
Percy stayed quiet. Unknowing what to do or say to break the awkward tension he built between him and Clint. He wasn't comfortable with other people besides Tony, Pepper, and Natasha. It did take a while to warm up to them, but over the two years he's stayed with them, he knows that they aren't the type of people to do what Gabe had done. These people were on the complete opposite of the spectrum.
Tony walked up to Percy and gave him the small duffle-bag with enough clothes for a few days. "I'll be back tuesday to pick you up, ok?" He gave the small-for-his-age child a hug and left to his helicopter back to his tower where piles of work was waiting.
"Let me show you where you'll be staying and where I think you'll have the most fun." Clint led him by the shoulder into the building with multiple security guards.
Clint showed him to is room first. A simple small light grey room, a twin bed in the corner and a dresser against the wall next to it. in the corner was a door that led to the attached bathroom. Percy smiled at the simplicity of the room. Living with Tony Stark meant that his room was big, expensive, and extravagant. He appreciated the big room, for the apartment he used to live in as roughly the size of the room, but sometimes a small simple one such as this brought him peace.
After his small tour of his room he was led around the facility. He saw the labs and rooms filled with various experiments either forgotten, being used, or closed off because of quarantine. Percy was intrigued to stay in the large library they had, filled with books about many different things that he could get lost in. But unfortunately, Clint dragged him to a lab at the very bottom of the building. They had to take an elevator only to walk down stairs to get lower.
When they got to their destination. Percy stood in awe at the machines and technology that he had to use them all at least once. He speed walked to the nearest one. A transparent-touch screen glass that had equations he couldn't even begin to comprehend. At the center of the room stood a circular object. It had wires connecting to the glowing blue cube in the center encased in a contraption of metal. Across the room was a raised circular podium surrounded by tall contraptions. Percy had no idea what it was or what it did, but he wanted to find out.
"Dr. Selvig, this is Percy, he wants to know about the tesseract and what it does. Percy, this is Dr. Erik Selvig, he's gonna teach you about the tesseract." Clint says. "If you need me, I'll be in my nest."
"Hi Percy, let's see how much you know about this stuff," Erik whisked Percy to a diagram of what the tesseract could do.

After a couple of hours, Percy wandered to a desk that stood alone in the room towards the tesseract in the middle. He had chosen this spot because he was able to see how it could react when he did certain small experiments with it. For example, he wondered if it could power a small microwave. He attached the necessary wires and equipment and tested it. It worked, and let the researchers and Dr. Selvig know that it was a power source of some kind.
"Talk to me Doctor," A man walked in, starling Percy from his thoughts. He wore all black and an eyepatch that wrapped around his shiny bald head.
