Percy woke up in the infirmary after a long nap, his head still hurt from the explosion the other day. Bandages still wrapped around and tucked under his untameable hair and around his arms and left hand. Nothing was broken, just sprained and bruised. He hoped that no one else got hurt, but right now he had to see what the commotion was all about outside.
The hallways were silent. Not one word except for the sound of his door opening and closing behind him. To the left guards armed and ready to attack the enemy. SHEILD workers walked past him murmuring to each other about their "special guest." Percy became even more curious than he already was. He thought about who that guest was, he though maybe it was his uncle? Or his Aunt Nat? Only one way to find out.
Walking to the edge of the hall, hiding behind a tall and large guard, he waited for them. He didn't wait long for the sound of multiple footfalls and chains echoed from somewhere. Percy tried to see from around the corner and saw a wall of men coming closer. He laid on the ground to look at the person from below, cuffs wrapped around his ankles secured with a bulky chain that attached to the cuffs on their wrist and kept going up, Percy assumed the man had a cuff around his neck as well, but he couldn't tell
Behind the large group, farther down the hall where the guards were walking away in a military-esc fashion, was his Aunt Natasha. Her red tresses billowed behind her as she stepped after the prisoner. Percy got up off the ground and walked into the hallway in front of her, "Aunt Tasha!"
"Percy!" She smiled, mind distracted from her goal. "How are you? Felling better I hope?"
"Yep, my head still hurts though," Percy said. "Who was that guy, the one in the chains?"
"You don't need to know, alright? If you did you'd be in danger." Natasha ruffled his hair. "Tony is downstairs in the laboratory with Dr. Banner, he's worried about you."
Percy nodded his head and hugged her goodbye before walking away. A plan already being constructed in his mind as to how he would follow her, luckily he place a small tracer on her belt. Small enough to be invisible but strong enough to send a signal to the Stark-Phone Tony had given him for his birthday last year. It wasn't big nor as intricate as Tony's phone but it was enough for the ten-year old to watch videos and talk to others.
He opened the app that follows the tracer and watches as it goes further down the levels of the helicarrier. So he takes alternate routes to reach the level Natasha was getting too. The further he went the more scared he got, who did they have chained up and far from the rest of the crew? Was that big of a threat? The signal cut off from the phone, maybe Natasha had discovered the device he placed on her. But Percy remembered where she was and able to get to the level right above her.
Taking the Clint Barton mode of transportation, Percy opened an air vent close to the floor and crawled his walk down. It was dusty in the tiny metal crawlspace. His hair was covered in the grey powder and so was his clothes, but it didn't stop him, he simply brought up his shirt to cover his mouth and ventured deeper in.
"There's not many people that can sneak up on me," the familiar voice made Percy stop where he was and backwards crawl to the vent behind him.
"But you figured I'd come." Natasha said
Loki turned to face the woman on the other side of the glass. A maniacal grin etched its way across his face as he manipulated her mind. Words that wrecked havoc in her head, scenarios that left her defenseless and scared. It's was no longer a difficult task for the trickster god to do, he'd done it many a times to achieve his goal. And it appears that us had worked. Every word sent Natasha a step back, worry painted like a beautiful painting on her face as she turned around, playing to the gods game.
