"Oh my gosh! This is so cute!" The walls are white, and the decor is turquoise and sandy yellow, that perfectly accents the room. It makes me happy. I've always wanted to live by the ocean, but my mother was always against it.
"No way," I gasp "I have a view of the ocean!" I rush out to the balcony, letting the warm breeze wash over me. "I knew you'd love it." Adaline comes up behind me, " want to go for a swim?"
I put a cover up on over my plain turquoise bikini, and walk out the back door where Adaline is talking to someone in the pool. "Oh, Maya! Would you mind if Sky joins us?" She moves out of the way, and holy shit I almost faint.
Sky is lying down on a swan floaty, but he gets up when he sees me. "Yeah, I guess that would be fine." Sky meets my eyes, and smiles at me.
"Cool, let's go." He swims to the edge of the pool, and pulls himself up. The water drips down his body, perfectly pointing out all his muscles. "W- why didn't you just use the stairs?" I try to laugh to cover up my stutter, but by the way Sky is smirking, I'm pretty sure he noticed it, and me checking him out."Are you guys going to come in? The water is gorgeous!" I say to them, running my hand through my hair, trying to shake out the salt.
"I'd love to! How about it Sky?! Sky?" Adaline waves her hand in front of his face but he doesn't move. His gaze is transfixed on me. I can read the feeling in his eyes, but his stare is intense. "Sky?" He shakes his head.
"Sorry I was just thinking." He pushes past me, and our shoulders collide. "Ow." He keeps walking, not even caring that he hurt me."What?" I snap at Adaline, she's giving me a funny look. "You two totally like each other."
"Not a chance" I scoff, "he's an asshole." It takes a second before my brain processes what I just said. "No offence though." Adaline laughs,
"None taken."Sky's POV
"Ow." I hear her say as I brush past her, my shoulder hitting hers. I do feel bad that I may of hurt her, but she's just so- infuriating, but in a cute, kinda sexy way. I shake my head, no way did I just refer to Maya as sexy. But that bathing suit is-I dive into the salty water, the impact waking me out of my trance. Swimming out a bit further, I sink down until I'm sitting on the sand. As I'm holding my breath, I realize how peaceful it is, when it's just you, the ocean and-
"Sky? Are you ok?!" The voice is muffled, but I know it's her.
"What do you want?" I groan.
"What I want, is for you to actually be nice to me for once!" She sighs, and when she speaks, I can see tears welling in her beautiful green eyes. "I just- I just wanted to make sure that you were ok and when you went under the water I-" She stops when I step closer to her, tucking a strand of hair behind her ear. "You care about me sweatheart?" Maya blinks, making eye contact with me. "No." Then she's running away, and I'm stuck, dumbfounded, watching her go.Maya's POV
I'm tired when I get back, so I do the thing I love the most. I take a nap.I'm tossing and turning, trying to get him out of my head, but I can't. How his blue eyes seem to sparkle all the time, how he's so perfect that he could be an angel.
"No, no no!" I cry. I can't like him, I can't like anybody, not after Chase, not after that heartbreak. I want to let him in, I want to let him in, to know the real me. But how can I know that he won't just break my heart, or let me down. "This isn't fair!" By now I'm full out bawling. I can't fall for Sky, I won't allow it. But something deep down inside of me, feels a different way.
