Wise men say only fools rush in
But I can't help falling in love with you
Shall I stay?
Would it be a sin
If I can't help falling in love with you?
Like a river flows surely to the sea
Darling so it goes
Some things are meant to be
Take my hand, take my whole life too
For I can't help falling in love with youI can't stand to be cooped up in this basement forever, I need to get out. I can see the sunlight streaming though the little basement window. "Hey, Sky?" I walk up to the living room. He's sitting on the couch, and pretends he doesn't hear me. "Wow." I huff, "real mature." Sky doesn't even glance in my direction. "I'm going swimming, if that's even allowed." Not waiting for his "permission" I go back downstairs and change into a baiting suit.
Sky's POV
"I'll be about an hour or so." Maya tells me, as she walks past, a towel around her body. I can't help myself, once she shuts the back door behind her, I look over.My god. I mean, just wow. I know I've seen her in a baiting suit before but, this one compliments her skin tone and... I look away.
Maya's POV
I settle on the swan floaty, hoping that I can maybe get a little bit of a tan. My feet are dipped into the pool, and I feel relaxed. What was that? I open my eyes and see nothing. As soon as I close my eyes, I'm flipped off the floaty and splash into the pool.
"Hey-" I'm cut off by someone kissing my lips, I push away, and slap the person, earning a grunt. "Sky? What the hell?!"
"Sorry, I shouldn't have done that."
"Well duh!" I shake my head. "Gosh Sky, you're so confusing!"
"I know ok Maya? I know. But you're-" He shakes his head.
"What?" I press. "I'm what Sky?" He stares at me for what feels like an eternity before replying.
"Nothing." He pulls himself out of the pool, and I bite my lip. Nope, don't even go there Maya. I try to tell myself that I'm not attracted to Sky, but it isn't working.
"Ugh." I wake up at night. Why can't I get him out of my head?! Because you love him. My inner conscience says. No, I don't. I snap back, then laugh. This is sad, I'm conversing with myself. I toss and turn, but I still can't sleep. I decide to turn on Moana, maybe it'll help me fall asleep."Adaline?" No answer. I enter the kitchen and see Sky sitting on one of the islands stools.
"She's going to be gone all day."
"Oh." I say. I'm about to leave, when Sky blocks my path.
"Maya." He breathes, looking into my eyes.
"What Sky?" I say tiredly.
"I can't stop thinking about you, you're driving me crazy." Sky pushes me against the wall, his blue eyes, somehow seeming dark.
"Well," I gulp, "that's nice."
"I know you're thinking about me too." He leans in.
"N-no." Sky smiles slightly.
"Ok." Then he pulls away, leaving me stunned.Sky's POV
I don't hate her at all, I really really f*cking love her. And just knowing that we're alone, her downstairs in the basement, and me in my room... is driving me insane. I can't resist her anymore. Yes she may have lied to me, but I trust that she had a good reason. And I know, that the chemistry between us is real. I just need her to understand that. She's eating chocolate, and looks up when I come down the stairs. I nearly fall.
"What are you doing here Sky?"
"My house sweetheart." I say, walking up closer to her. I take the chocolate from her hand and put it down on the table beside us. I can see in her eyes she's cautious.
"Sky." She whispers, and I can't hold back. I kiss her like there's no tomorrow, but then she pulls away. "What are you doing Sky?"
"I'm sorry, but Maya Rivers, I did not mean what I said to you the other day, you are honestly the greatest thing that has ever happened to me and I don't hate you, I don't like you, I love you." I stop. Maya is glaring at me.
"Sky, I hate you." She says.
"Wha-?"
"Kiss me." I do, and it seems like everything we've been trying to get out, gets out in the kiss. I barely notice when we fall onto something soft. But I do know, that we get a little carried away.Maya's POV
"Sky," I whisper, stroking his cheek. "Wake up."
"Maya?" His eyes shoot open wide. "Did we-?"
"Yeah," I smile, "but you used-?"
"99% sure." I roll my eyes.
"Sky? Maya? Are you guys down there?" Sh*t.
"Hold on a sec Adaline, I just woke up!" I usher Sky into the closet, and quickly pull on my Pjs.
"Hey," Adaline comes downstairs, "have you seen Sky?"
"I uh, think he, um, went for a run." Adaline eyes the closet as we both hear a cough.
"Okay, but," she walks over to the closet. "I hope you used protection Sky Braxton Luca, it I swear you won't ever be allowed to even look at a girl anymore." My face goes white, and Adaline walks back upstairs."Oh my gosh!" I laugh, once Sky comes out from his hiding place. "Sky that was-"
"Scary?"
"No!" I laugh, "it was hilarious!" Soon we're both laughing our heads off, with not a worry in the world.Wowza, long chapter😏
