"Come on Sky! The waves are perfect right now!" I run towards the ocean with my surfboard, but Sky stays rooted to the spot.
"No, you're still not ready!"
"Wanna bet?" I splash into the ocean, swimming out until I'm far enough out to catch waves.
"Maya!" Sky yells at me.
"I'm fine!" I yell back, then turn my attention to the big wave coming at me."Wooo!" I yell as I ride the wave.
"Unbelievable." Sky huffs as I run towards him. "You doubted me." I narrow my eyes, "you're going to pay for that."
"Oh yeah?" Sky comes close to me, the glow from the sun lighting his hair, he looks like an angel, I think."Yeah." When Sky leans in to kiss me, I lightly smack him with my surfboard, then run.
"Oof." The wind is knocked out of me as Sky tackles me to the ground. I turn onto my back, and come face to face with Sky, who is very close to me. "Get off! You're heavy!"
"No." Sky says.
"If you don't get off I'm going to knee you in the crotch." Sky's eyes widen, and he gets off of me. I get up, and start walking to the house. "He-" I start to say as Sky pulls my arm, spinning me to face him, but he kisses me before I finish.
"Want to go somewhere tonight?" He asks. I think about it for a second.
"Can we just stay in tonight? Like maybe watch a movie or something?"
"Sure." Sky smiles."What movie did you pick?" I say as I snuggle up to Sky on the couch.
"Me before you." He says all funny.
"Ew, what did you really pick?"
"Fast and Furious 8." I grin."Don't hurry the baby!" I yell, "Sky! Look!" No response. "Sky! You're missing out!" When he doesn't respond again, I pause the movie and shift, so I'm facing Sky.
Before I know it, I'm asleep.
"Oh my gosh! Look at them them they're so cute!"
"I wish my husband was that caring."
"I saw it coming from a mile away." I groggily open my eyes, to se Adaline and two other women standing in front of Sky and I.
"Is the movie over yet?" A sleepy Sky asks. Then he proceeds to kiss the back of my neck. I roll off the couch to escape.
"Heeeey Adaline, what's up?" I try to act like she and her friends didn't just see us cuddling, face to face."Oh, Hey auntie, Val, Kelly." Sky greets them, and comes to stand beside me.
"Sky, nice to see you again." Val says, and I inwardly gag. She's totally a cougar.
"So Kelly, how are the kids?" Sky completely blows of Val.
"Good, good." Kelly look at me, and winked. "So, you two thinking about kids?"
"I uh-"
"She's just going into her first year of university Kelly, back off!" Adaline says, and her friends laugh. When Sky and I stay silent, the ladies deem it a good time to leave.
"Keep it PG!" Kelly calls behind her."So," Sky looks at me.
"So." I say awkwardly.
"Wanna do something." It's not said as a question, more of a statement.
"Like what?" I gulp as Sky steps closer. He leans in.
"Paint." I let out a breath.
"What?" Sky says as we head upstairs, "did you have other things in mind?" I try to keep my voice steady, but it can't help but shake.
"No." Sky smirks.
"Sure about that sweetheart?"
"Yes." I say smoothly.
"Okay," he smiles, "whatever floats your boat."Painting isn't what I wanted to do at all, but I guess I thought I'd be scared of what might happen if I had told Sky. Now I might not ever get the chance.
