Now that I think about it, it was kind of stupid of me to throw my phone into the ocean. I guess I was too blinded by my anger.
I grab a book, and head out to my personal little balcony. Everything, Everything. I've read it before, but I have nothing else to do, so I'll just read it again.
I'm a few pages in, when the wind picks up, and I can smell the saltiness of the ocean. I put down the book, and storm into Sky's bedroom. "You're taking me surfing." He gives me a strange look.
"Do you even know how to surf?"
"No, but you can teach me." I say, holding my head high.
"Fine." He sighs.Sky told me that I couldn't start on the water, so he took me out to the private beach to quote "work on my technique" I reluctantly agreed that this was a good idea.
"Now get up," I quickly stand up on my board, but stumble because of the speed. "Easy there." Sky takes hold of my shoulders, "we're going to have to work on your balance."
"See how my knees are slightly bent and my arms are out? This helps keep me stable, out there." We both look at the ocean, shimmering in the sunlight. "Ok," Sky claps his hands, "your turn."
"That, was fun." I say, grinning at Sky, "thanks."
"No problem." He frowns.
"Hey, what is it?" I step closer to him.
"It's just, you look kind of sweaty, so I think you might want to cool off."
"Oh no, don't you dare!" I try to run but Sky is to fast, and soon has a kicking squealing me, over his shoulder. "Sky please!" I beg, "I swear, I'm not even h-" splash! I cough, trying not to swallow salt water. "You-" Sky's arms are suddenly around my waist, and he's looking at me in this way. Why do I have butterflies in my stomach?
"Are an extremely hot guy?" I scoff,
"No, you're an extremely annoying guy."
"But I'm your extremely annoying guy." Sky is too close, all I see are his mesmerizing blue eyes gazing into mine. Oh my gosh he's leaning in, and I am too. But at the last minute Sky moves his face so I only kiss his cheek. "Maybe next time sweetie." He winks, and walks away, but I'm not just going to let him go that easily."Hey! What the hell was that!? You can't just pretend you're going to kiss me, and then tease me like that and then just walk away? I- you are so annoying! I really thought for just one second that you could actually stop being a dick for once in your life but no, you have to-" He kisses me softly on the lips. And when he pulls away and says "just wait Maya, I promise I'll surprise you." I do nothing but stand, rooted to the spot staring as he walks back to the house. This time though, I let him.
