Your POV

"You're saving all these for me, right?" Your aunt said with a small smile as she looked at all the flowers displayed in your shop.

"Of course auntie. You know that mom wanted to save you the best she has," you took your gloves and hairnet off as you prepared to close the shop since your lovely aunt bought all that you and your mom had displayed today for her wedding.

"Or more like, everything she has," your aunt giggled and you laughed a little.

"Thanks, auntie."

"Oh you're welcome dear. Be sure to be at my wedding, okay? I don't want to lose a single bridesmaid."

"Of course, auntie. Bye."

"Bye."

As soon as your aunt left, you took your apron off and hanged it on the wall when the door opened again. You thought your aunt had forgotten something that she had to come back. But when you turned you saw a different person.

"Hey, (Y/n)!" A red-haired guy greeted you.

"Nagumo?" You asked a bit surprised. He was a regular customer. Not to mention you've grown very fond of him every time he buys from the shop. The lilacs and tulips had been witnesses to how much you like Nagumo.

These past few weeks he had been at your mom's shop more often and buying a bouquet of flowers. You thought he was giving it to a girlfriend but you had never asked about it.

"Ah, (Y/n), I'll have the usual," he casually said, resting an elbow on the table across you.

"Sorry, Nagumo. We're all sold out today," you said.

"What?!" Nagumo blurted out, his palms almost slamming the table. "You can't be serious!"

"I'm dead serious. My aunt bought them all today," you continued to fix things in the shop.

"Oh, but (Y/n), I really need a bouquet of pink roses today," he groaned and showed you a puppy look.

You rolled your eyes and sighed. "Just come back tomorrow, okay? I'll save one for you once the new stock arrives."

"Tomorrow can't wait, (Y/n). Please?" He begged again, following you around as you tidy things.

His persistence started to annoy you. "I'm sure your girlfriend can wait. Otherwise, I can't help you."

"She isn't my girlfriend..." Nagumo trailed off, making you stop. "...yet."

You sighed again and turned to him. "So you're courting her, huh?" You didn't notice the hint of jealousy in your tone.

"Yes!" And Nagumo didn't notice it too. "And you know, I have this feeling that she's about to say yes today! Please (Y/n)," he walked towards you and held your shoulders. "Help me out," he looked into your eyes with full of hope.

You looked away as you can't believe that the guy whom you've learned to love is actually asking you... To get flowers for his soon-to-be girlfriend... And it's not you.

"Fine," you finally said. Despite the fact that it's against your will, you walked towards the pot of pink roses, cut a handful of them, wrapped them with a ribbon, and gave it to him.

"Thank you so much, (Y/n)!" He excitedly took the small bunch of roses from you and dug his hand into a pocket to get the payment but as he looked up, you were already gone into the house.

{Next Day}

You were at your usual spot at the shop after school and customers came in and out. You were about to close the shop again when the same red-haired guy from yesterday entered.

You sighed. "So did she say yes?"

Nagumo didn't answer. He entered the shop with a flat face. He looked as if he hadn't slept all night and the bunch of roses you gave him were still in his hands. The petals now turned pale and in the notion of falling from the stem.

"Nagumo? What happened?" You asked, worry struck your heart.

"I turned her down..." He dryly said.

"You mean, SHE turned YOU down," you corrected.

"No... I turned her down," he repeated as he walked closer to you.

You raised a brow at him and put some pots on the shelves. "Okay? Maybe you just need sleep."

"I'm serious (Y/n)," he snapped. "When I got out of the shop yesterday, I realized... I wasn't actually going back to this shop to get that girl flowers... I actually go here more often because I wanted to see you everyday."

You accidentally dropped a pot of plant and broke it due to his sudden confession. You turned to him with a surprised look and didn't know what to say.

"I'm such a fool for courting her, (Y/n). When after all, you're the very reason I go here everyday. It's you whom I love."

"Nagumo, I..."

"It's okay, (Y/n). I can wait for your answer. For now, I'm hoping you'd allow me to court you."

You smiled at him. "Of course."

He smiled back and ran a finger on your hair. Then he picked a fresh pink rose from a pot and put it on top of your ear.

"You're gonna pay for that right?" You said, a little amused.

"I'll buy all the roses for you, (Y/n)," he hugged you and you hugged him back.

Nagumo: *le blushing 50 shades of pink roses*

Kariya: it sucked.

Gin: will you stop saying that?! Although, I honestly think it did at some point... Sorry
