Endou/Kidou: *covers their ears*

(Your POV)

Your eyes hurt.

Is it the scorching sun?

No.

Is it the ocean's blinding light?

No.

Is it the smoke from the grill where Endou barbeques fish?

No.

Is it the drop dead gorgeous shirtless fire striker carrying a surf board and walking in your direction?

Hell YES.

You gulped and put on your sunglasses, trying your best not to look at Gouenji who just came from surfing at the beach.

The team was on break
and you were having a great time.

Especially now that Gouenji lay on a mat next to you.

"Lovely," you hear Gouenji say and when you turned to him, he was looking into the ocean.

"Indeed," you said and looked in the opposite direction.

"Say, (Y/n). Have you been on a place like this before?"

"W-well, with my family, yes," you stuttered at the thought that Gouenji was actually talking to you.

"Did you happen to have someone----"

"Fish Barbeque is ready! Let's feast!"

Gouenji was cut off by Endou's sudden announcement for lunch.

"Come on, Gouenji. Let's eat," you said and stood up, wiping the sand off your legs.

You hear Gouenji sigh before shortly following you.

"I didn't know you were such a good cook, Endou," you said, munching on the fish on a stick.

Endou blushed a little and he gave out a small chuckle. "T-thanks (Y/n)."

"Come on, Mamoru. Let's go for a swim," Natsumi said and dragged her boyfriend .

"Wha---- but we haven't eaten yet," Endou said as he was being dragged.

"Oh boy," you said.

"Lucky Endou," you hear Gouenji say making you involuntarily cough the fish out.

"What makes you say that?"

"He cooks well. And he has a girlfriend."

"Oh... R-right. How about you? Don't you wanna have a girlfriend?" you asked out of the blue.

Gouenji almost pierced his dark eyes on you, making you blush.

"I-I'M sorry, what I mean is... Don't you want to be lucky like Endou---- damn what am I saying?" you whispered the last words and facepalmed yourself.

"I'd love to but... I'm not sure if she wanted to," to your surprise, Gouenji gently smiled at you before he left.

You unconsciously munched the head of the fish and spit its bones out while staring at his sexy back now facing and moving away from you.

You wanted to get a hold of yourself so you left to take a swim with Aki and Haruna.

"So... have you told Gouenji about your feelings?" Aki asked whilst floating on her back.

"What? No. And I don't plan to," you answered.

"Now is the perfect time (Y/n)! Who knows? He might also like you back," Haruna answered.

"Uggh.. quit bothering me about that guys. Gouenji is way too hot to deserve someone like me," you said and swam far from them.

"(Y/n) don't go there! It's beyond the reef!" Aki shouted.

"What?" you looked around you and found yourself swimming away from the beach's setup buoy. In other words, you're swimming right into the area where a warning has been set to indicate strong current and very deep waters.

You're a swimmer. But a huge wave that was coming for you knocked you out of your consciousness.

(Gouenji's POV)

"Help! (Y/n) has drowned!" I hear Haruna and Aki shout from the other side.

What the?!

"Call the lifeguard!" Kudou-senpai said.

I wasted no time. I immediately swam beyond the reef, looked for (Y/n), and as soon as I found her underwater, I took her in my arms and swam up.

As soon as we reached the surface, I breathe air. Then a huge wave knocked us over again, sending me and (Y/n) back to shore.

As I laid her on the sand, she looked really pale and seemed to have lost breathing.

I quickly parted her lips and breathe air into her, then crossed my palms and pumped her chest.

I did it for about three or four times then to my relief, (Y/n) coughed some water out and she regained consciousness.

"(Y/n)! You're alright!" the rest of the team said.

The lifeguard soon approached us to see if everything is okay.

(Y/n) slowly got up. I was so happy to see her alright I wasn't able to control myself to pull her in my arms.

"You scared me," I muttered.

She seemed slightly surprised by my actions yet she hugged me back.

"Thank you for saving me," she said. Then she let go of our hug. "But why?"

I cupped her face and smiled. "If I lose you then I won't be lucky like Endou anymore."

She smiled back and I pulled her close to me again.

Endou: Whoa. That was so hot and sweet.

Kidou: after Gin almost got Reader-chan killed? Seriously?

Gouenji: ... No comment

Gin: 😓
