It's my darn POV again, what the hell is wrong with you Author---- hey who's that girl? I stopped as I saw a gorgeous (h/c)-girl pass by.

"Oh hey, look, it's (Y/n)," Bryce said with a nudge on my arm. Did he just hear my thoughts or what? "Why is she here?"

Oh, (Y/n). Right. I know her so well. She's from the star section. Popular among guys. I bet she's still single. I smirked as an idea popped in my head. "I'll go talk to her," I said and stood up.

"Wha---?"

I walked towards (Y/n) and without hesitation, I whispered right into her ear, "Hey gorgeous. I wanna ask if there was an earthquake, or did you just rock my world?"

I expected her to feel nervous the moment I finished the bad line that just popped right in my head but instead, she just turned and smiled at me.

"Well if it isn't the soccer team's fire striker, Claude Beacons. If I didn't know any better I think you are hitting on me," she said with a sly smirk.

"You know me?"

"Why wouldn't I? You're the team captain after all. Say, what kind of foreign entity forced you to come over here and throw such a bad line?"

I then felt flustered at what she said. (Y/n) is really something. She isn't shy. She's witty. A perfect package. And God forbid I really want to make her mine now.

"Well, it can't be helped. You are so attractive and irresistible."

She chuckled. "I bet you say that to all the girls you've met."

"Believe me, I haven't."

"Really?"

"Wanna bet?"

"I'd love to."

"How about a one on one soccer match with me? If I win then I was telling the truth. If I lose then you have the chance to doubt me."

"I was thinking about the same thing."

Pfft. This is gonna be easy. I immediately headed to the soccer field and kicked a ball against my knee. (Y/n) followed shortly and soon we were battling for the ball. It was surprising though. I never thought she knew how to play soccer. She was going around me making unpredictable moves to take the ball. But there's no way I'm gonna let her win.

I found an opening and was able to dribble it towards to goal. A smirk of victory drew on my lips as I knew that I'm gonna win the bet now. Just as I kicked the ball towards the unguarded goal, I was taken aback to see (Y/n) already in front of it and blocking my shot with her foot. How the hell did she get there so fast?

"My turn," she said as she began dribbling the ball towards the other goal. Pfft. It's still too far, there'd be plenty of time for me to steal the ball from her.

I was about to use a hissatsu technique on her when she suddenly kicked the ball high up in the air. What the heck? I then saw her jump and reach for it to outrun me but I'm not gonna let that happen. I jumped with her and as we were both in mid-air, competing again to get the ball, our kicks collided and we both fell down with (Y/n) on top of me. Ouch. Damn you author-san. (Oh shut up I know you like it)

The ball went to who knows where and I totally forgot about it. My attention is now fully focused on (Y/n) who was on top of me, her hands supporting her body on the grass and she was slightly smirking as I held onto her shoulders.

"Hey, you look even more beautiful up close," I said out of nowhere.

"Stop throwing bad lines. I win," she said. I looked up and in an upside-down view I saw the ball inside the goal. Shit.

"Can we try again? I really wasn't lying when I said I only said those words to you."

"Oh shut up and just ask me out you idiot."

A smile drew on my lips as I pulled her down to me, embracing her.

"Uhh, Claude... We're in the middle of a soccer field..."
