After 18 hours of waiting in the hospotal, I was induced into labor. I was in labor for 3 hours before giving birth to a beautiful baby girl, named Eloise. (Name suggestion from BRAYLERFOREVER )
She came into the world and cried, and it broke my heart.
(Ha, only hamilton fans will get that)
After a few hours Corbyn wheeled me outside and into the car. We drive home and Eloise is asleep. I put her in her crib and Corbyn hugged me from behind.
"She's beautiful. Just like you." He whispers into my ear. We go to sleep early and surprisingly, Eloise sleeps all through the night. We decide to call her Ellie as a nickname.
Corbyn and I went to our room and lied down on the bed. He had his arm wrapped around me and I snuggled my face deep into his chest. I don't remember the last time I felt this secure. That feeling only happens with him.
"I'm scared baby." I whisper.
"Don't be. Nothing bad will happen again. I promise." He responds. He goes to kiss my forehead but I pull away from his embrace.
"You can't promise that, so don't." I respond, getting off of the bed. I walk to the living room and plop down on the couch and watch the news. Nothing new. All of a sudden the tv clicks off and the microwave in the kitchen shuts off too. I run over and look out the window. The porch light is also off, which normally never happens. Corbyn comes out of the room.
"The power is off!" He whisper yelled. I ran to him and hugged him.
"I don't like the dark. It makes me feel scared." I say. He hugs me and we fall asleep on the couch.
