Chapter 13: Dragon Council

Toothless's P.O.V 

My feet padded lightly next to Shadow's as we made our way to the dragon arena. Noctis, the elder Night Fury whom we had saved, had called a council meeting to discuss the circumstance of the silver ones on Berk. Ash was walking excitedly behind me with his new found best friend Raven. I looked behind as the black shapes scampered happily behind us. I like raven, she was a very nice dragon. Unlike someone *cough* Tempest *cough, cough*

When we finally came to a stop in front of the arena: I turned my head back to look at my son and Raven. 

"Heads high, wings folded, behave." I spoke mostly to Ash. Raven imediatly straightened, her liqiud night wings folded carefully by her side. I gave Ash a look as though to say, espicially you. He strightened to wings by his side. I stepped forward walking into the arena lit by torchs around the edge. Inside the arena was bursting with dragons of all different shapes and sizes. To the right were the Monstrous Nightmares, Deadly Nadders, and the Terribly Terrors. The left was occupied by several Hideous Zipplebacks. Next to the Zipplebacks were the Gronkles followed by Felix and Sapphire; and Torch, the Typhoomerang. Straight ahead of us sat Noctis, Jem, Tempest, Star and Scorcher. I walked past the rows of dragons to the Night Fury sector. I took my place with Shadow, standing silently next to Noctis, the younger dragons kept to the back, whereas Star and her older brother Scorcher were just behind me. After the last Terrible Terror had taken his place with his kin the meeting comenced. 

"I'm sure you are all aware of why we have gathered tonight." Noctis growled, his voice booming over the dragons; who fell silent at once. "For those who may not, earlier tonight their was an incident involving the silver ones in the Great Hall. They didn't hurt anyone, human or dragon. But it seems they are becoming stronger." 

"It's true!" Cried a female Nadder, by the name of Tipper. "I was there, they appeared out of nowhere, like shadows!" 

"I saw them as well-" 

"Me to!" 

"How is this possible." 

"Silence!" Noctis roared. "One at a time!" 

Spike stepped out of line and into the middle. "How is it possible that their spirits were able to appear away from their physical being?" He growled his eyes fixed on Noctis and the rest of the Night Furys. I glanced side on at Noctis and found his eyes approving as he looked at Spike. 

"Good obsevations Spike." He sighed before answering the question, "the only answer to this is not something you want to hear, nor will it help our battle. I believe that the Shapeshifters have allied with the Spellcasters to create an army. With their combined power they are extremely dangerous." 

"Why are we allowing two of them to live on our island?" Asked a Gronkle. Suprised I found myself growl a warning along with Felix and Sapphire who were bearing their teeth angrily. 

"Those Shapeshifters are not like others and therefore have an exception." Noctis said simply fixing his eyes on the Gronkle who stepped back into her line. This was followed again by many roared comments from different dragons. 

It was going to be a long night.

Me: Hey Hiccup, good to see you again!

Hiccup: Your are very lucky that you decided to get me and Astrid back together at the end of the second book otherwise I would have killed you! 

Me: Ummmm ok well I did so let's not dwell on the subject hey *nervous laugh*  So mackenzie_ potter would like to know, ummm if you... well realize how hot you are? 

Hiccup: Well thank you mackenzie_potter I must say I wasn't entirely aware, but I guess I must have some good looks to have caught Astrid. 

Me: *laugh* I think it takes more than looks to win over Astrid. 

Hiccup: Well I guess it could have been my personality..... but let's just say it was the looks hey:D

Me: Ok well good talk, anything to add Hiccup? 

Hiccup: Nup... oh don't forget mackenzie_potter I do have a girlfriend!

Me: Yes Hiccup we know that

Hiccup: And she's pretty much the best girlfriend in the world, except when she brings out the axe, then she gets scary.

Me: Hiccup we gotta go now but i'm sure all the readers would love to hear you talk about Astrid another time. (slight sarcasm) 

Hiccup: Well ok, thanks for the question mackenzie_potter I hope I answered it! 

Me: Anyway, that's 

Hiccup: all we have time for but we'll see you soon for the next chapter, feel free to ask any question below in the comment box.
