(One hour prior to last chapter)
Skylar's P.O.V
I muttered curses as I pulled on a shirt and donned my leather armor over it. I tightened the straps before fastening my sword and a knife to my belt. I slipped my quiver full of arrows onto my right shoulder so that it crossed over my back making the arrows easy to reach at short notice and then crossed my bow over the other shoulder.
Picking up a leather bag that would hold the food I walked out of my room closing the door behind me.
In the kitchen Willow was frantic she was rushing about looking for things in all the wrong places. Several candles were lit making everything shadowy.
"Willow!" I called startled by her rushing; normally she was calm and controlled.
"Food!" She pointed at me. I groaned; obviously I wasn't going to get any explination right now. I walked over to the cupboard pulling out two loaves of bread, some cheese, two cups and a jar of milk. I shoved them into the leather bag I had brought from my room. Willows bag held a blanket and several large, heavy books.
"Where are we going?" Bailee asked confused opening his eyes blearily.
"You're not going anywhere," Willow said picking him up he struggled but gave up eventually realizing that Willow's vice like grip wasn't letting go.
"Will you please explain?" I said grabbing her arm.
"Well right now we are going to Glen's house." She said walking around blowing out the candles before walking out the door. I huffed throwing my hands up, before following her.

By the time we reached Glen's house citizens were starting to emerge from their houses, obviously earlier than Willow had expected after the recent attack as she whispered a hurried growl to me. "Try make sure no one sees you." I nodded as we angled down landing silently on the grass. I poked my head through Glens bedroom window. I growled a 'hello' and Glen practically jumped out of his skin.
"What are you doing here?" He exclaimed.
"I'm actually not sure, but willow needs to talk to you."
"Why?"
"How should I know?" I said unhelpfully
"Fine, just move out of the way." He grumbled bracing himself he threw himself out of the window landing in a crouch as a dragon.
"We are ones for big entrenches aren't we." I whispered to Willow who ignored me.
"What's up?" Glenn asked straightening and looking us dead in the eye.
"We don't have time to explain everything, but I need you to look after Bailee while we're gone."
"Gone where?"
"We know something that will help us win the war." It surprised me that Willow called it a war, it seemed un real up until last night. She was right, we were at war.
"What is it." We can't tell you now, but you need to stay here, continue training and translating for the other riders."
"No, I'm coming with you." He growled defiantly.
"We don't know how long we will be..." She said looking at me. I looked at her like 'what?' She rolled her eyes.
'He can't come! Your a guy convince him!' She said inside my head.
'Thank you for noticing' I said sarcastically. Our conversation was faster than normal speech so I doubted Glenn had any idea, still, I had to make it convincing.
