-Mana P.O.V- (few days later)
"Manacchi! Ohayo!", Ryota visit my house again. "Ohayo Ryota...and Tetsuya", I glanced my light blue bestfriend. "Ohayo", Tetsuya smiled. "What brings you here?", I asked. "We just want to pay you a visit, if you don't mind", Tetsuya chuckled.
"Well...I'm pretty much okay with that".
"Fine, if you say so", I let them in. "Ne Manacchi, next week you will be your first day at high school, aren't you excited?", Ryota asked intrigued. "Not really...", I stared them blankly. Ryota and Tetsuya exchange look, they hide something I know it.
"Mana, do you have a basketball?", Tetsuya asked. "Yes, why?", I narrowed my onyx eyes to his. "Let's play", Tetsuya suggested.
"I don't want to".
"I pass", I decline it politely. "Ehh!? Why Manacchi?", Ryota pouted. "You two play, I will just watch from the sideline", I forced a smile. "We can't do that", Tetsuya look at me sadly.
"I know that they want to see me play...but...I can't".
"Don't mind me, have fun", I smiled.
"Of course we can't do that", Tetsuya groaned.
"They're persistent", I sighed.
"Then let's go, basketball field", I said blankly.
Their eyes glimmering with hope. My private basketball field is behind my house. Ryota quickly take my basketball and do a lane up. Tetsuya and Ryota laughed together.
"I wish I could laugh like that", I smiled painfully.
"Manacchi, let's go!", Ryota asked me to play 1 on 1.
"No thanks", I decline once again.
Tetsuya examined the field properly. "Mana, your ring...it looks heavily damaged", Tetsuya implied. "It seems like the ring broke once, and the edge of the ring full of dirt and scars".
"Ah, that's...", I sweatdropped.
I can't tell him the reason why...can I?
"Mana, do you...hate basketball?", Tetsuya looked at me sadly.
"Huh? Oh no...it's just that I...I'm not in the mood", I grimaced.
They cheer me up, but thanks to them...my heart heal bit by bit. But seeing myself playing basketball...I'm scared. It reminds me of Akashi and...because of something else.
"Manacchi...is it about Akashicchi?", Ryota glanced at me.n
"Yes, I mean...playing basketball...it reminds me of him sometimes", I forced another smile.
"Mana...", Tetsuya hugged me.
"Tetsuya?".
"Don't keep it on your own, you can tell me and Kise-kun", Tetsuya pat my head.
"But...I don't want to bother anyone with my problem".
* * *
"Ah it's already late", Tetsuya checked his watch. Ryota and Tetsuya have been playing basketball until evening. "It's time to go home Kurokocchi!!".
"Times flies fast...".
They lectured me a lot of things before going home, especially Ryota. "Manacchi, drink your medicine regularly okay? Don't forget to sleep early!!", Ryota pouted. "Do as the doctor say", Tetsuya added.
Since my fight with Akashi, I build up a lot of stress and because of that I start to develop an insomnia, true I find it hard to sleep at night. But with Ryota and Tetsuya by my side, sometimes I feel at ease, they're like brothers to me. But I can't rely on them forever you know.
"But before I go...I have to tell you something Mana", Tetsuya face turned dead serious.
"Huh? What is it?", I asked.
"It's about Akashi-kun", he confirmed.
"Akashi?", I widened my eyes.
"Kurokocchi what are you-".
"Kise-kun, we have to tell her. We can't hide the truth forever, she bound to know anyway..", Tetsuya stared the sky deeply.
"Kurokocchi...", Ryota pouted.
"Mana, Akashi-kun is also in Rakuzan".
