34. Preparations

The next morning, I woke up feeling amazing. Well, not technically amazing, but I was so much better! My head didn't hurt at all which is the best feeling after having to live like my head was about to explode 24/7.

It was kind of early but not that much so I decided to get out of my bed to start my day. Surprisingly, when I got out of my room, I saw all my brothers looking at me. Normally, the only one awake at this hour is Donnie or me so what are they doing up?

-Did I miss something? Is my clock broken or you just all became early birds during my sleep? I asked, walking towards them.

-No you are on your schedule. Said Mikey, way to happily for this time of the morning.

-Then what's going on? I asked again.

-We are ready to hear your plan.  Said Donnie.

-And it better be good because I can't wait to kick Shredder ass and get sensei back! Said Raph.

I smiled. I then realized that splinter wasn't right. I am not and never was a dead weight to my team. My brothers need me as much as I need them. We are a family and it needs to get back to the way it was.

-If you're ready to hear it, come with me in the dojo. I can't do it here.. I need to have visual support for you to understand.

-Correction: for Mikey to understand. Said Raph, laughing.

I ignored Raph and I walked straight to the dojo. I never done a presentation like this before so let's just hope that my brothers all understand my plan because it can't go wrong. One wrong move and the rest of my plan fails. It all relays on me for now on.

-Okay so here's my plan. And be attentive, I don't want to have to say it again five times because you didn't pay attention! It's not that complicated if you listen well.

The dojo as this white board that we never used before but today is the day. My brothers were now sitting in front of me, like if I was their teacher or something. Then I started explaining the plan, making sure I was saying enough details for them to understand well. I also drew the plan on the whiteboard, so that they could visualize it like I was.

-And that's pretty much it. I said, putting down the marker.

-That is... Started Raph.

-The most brilliant plan I've ever heard. Continued Donnie.

-So you guys all understand what you have to do? I asked.

-If I understand, everybody understands. Said Mikey.

-Good because we leave tonight, right when the sun falls. I want you guys to eat well today and meditate about the plan. If you have any question don't hesitate to ask me. I ordered.

I was waiting for them to get up but they never did. They were waiting for me to say that they could. For the first time of my life, they we're acting like if I was the leader, not just a brother that imitates Splinter. 

-You can go. I said.

With that said, they all got up and went on with their day. Mikey and Raph went back to their room as Donnie stayed with me in the dojo.

-How are you feeling? Are you sure you are ready to fight Shredder? Don't you want to wait a little? You just got better! Said Donnie.

-I'm ok Don, really. I know it's quick, but it needs to be done. I can't take care of you guys anymore! We just need Splinter back. I said.

-But you just discovered a part of your power. You're not used to using it yet! Added Donnie.

I know that my brother is right but I can't wait anymore. Yes I just got better and I only know a part of my power but I need my father back as much as my brothers do.

-You will not make me change my decision Don. Just trust me on this okay?

-Ok. But if you feel sick or you just don't feel well, tell us. We can't risk to lose you. Said Donnie.

With that, my brother walked away, leaving me alone in the dojo. I didn't feel like going back in my room so I sat in front of the tree.

"I'm so not ready to do this. What is something goes wrong? It's all going to be my fault and I know it." I started meditating on that thought, letting my mind deviguade on other thoughts that I had. Just like, that when I open my eyes again, it was almost time to go.

I quickly got up and went to my room to get my katanas. I putted them on my back and I went to the living room to wait for my brothers. I didn't feel like sitting down so I walked in a circle in the middle of the room. I'm feeling like a lion in a cage, ready to burst out of it.

-Yo Leo! Ready to go fight this son of a bitch? Said Raphael who just appeared behind me.

-Hell yes. I said, smiling.

That's when I noticed that a little migraine was back. Let's just hope that it goes away because I can't wait anymore. It's now or never.

Soon enough, Donnie and Mikey were with us in the living room.

-Ok well. Let's go. I said as we started running in the sewer.
