Two weeks later
"Ev, what about a dance?" Aaron asked. We were currently at a party hosted by Aaron. It was his eighteenth birthday today and he held a grand party. Rich lad.
Marie didn't allow me to go cause it's starting time was ten o'clock and would end God knows when. So it was a straight no. But me being me, I snuck out. I love sneaking out, but if I get caught, dad is going to be super angry.
"Sure." I shouted so that he can hear. Music was pretty loud. We both went to the dance floor and started swaying with the beat. I kept on stepping on his feet since I drank more than usual today. He didn't mind though.
"Someone's a bit tipsy today." Aaron shouted near my ear.
"Thanks to your party." I replied sarcastically. He chuckled. Then something unusual happened. Aaron leaned forward and kissed me, straight on lips. After coming back to my senses, I pushed him away.
"How dare you touch me." I shouted angrily and slapped him.
He looked away guiltily. "I'm sorry." He said and walked away. That filthy human.
I put on my coat and grabbed my purse and walked towards the car, even though I was having a great trouble even in standing. I know it is not wise to drive like this but I've got to get back home. I hopped in my car and started the engine. The engine came to life and I started driving.
I really was having trouble driving and my eyelids were also getting heavy. I do not want to die. So instead of taking the risk of driving back to home, I stopped the car near a tree. I don't know where I am but I can't drive now. I rested my head against the seat of my car and everything went dark before I knew it.
Morning
I woke up when I heard someone knocking on the window of my car. Why the hell am I in my car? Shouldn't I be in my bed? Just then the memory of last night flooded in. I turned to see who was knocking. I saw a boy standing there. He let out a sigh when he saw me opening my eyes. I think I know him. I rolled down the window.
"Thank God you're alive. I was just about to call the police." He said.
"Um..do I know you?" I asked bluntly. He started laughing.
"You drank a lot, didn't you? Well I'm.." His voice. I recognise that voice.
"You're Chris. The new boy." I remembered. He nodded. "What time is it?" I asked, panicking. If Marie knew I was out the whole night, I'm so dead.
He looked at his wrist watch and said, "It's five fifteen." I sighed. Marie won't be up this early. Wait a minute, why in the world is he here this early?
"Why in the world are you here this early?" I asked.
"I told you I'm good at running, didn't I?" I nodded, I do remember. "That is because I practice every morning. I was just jogging down this road when I saw you here like this."
"Thank you." I said and opened the door of the car and hopped out.
"No problem." He said and smiled. It was the most beautiful smile I've ever seen. That's when I saw that he was not only cute but handsome too with a sharp jawline and nose. He too had jade green eyes, just like dad. Dad, I haven't talked to him for weeks.
"You know that smile looks really good on you." I took a step forward towards him but stumbled. I would have fell hard on the ground if it wasn't for him grabbing my arm.
"I think you're having a hangover." He said, smiling. "My house is not far from here. I'll give you some pills, come with me."
As much as I hate being helped, this time I needed it. I needed to reach home on time. He grabbed my arm as we started walking, to steady me. "I've been doing nothing but humiliate you, scare you and make fun of you, so why are you helping me?"
