"Mom! You look fabulous, could you relax for a second?" I ask, biting the apple in my hand. Mom is pacing here and there in her room, adjusting her dress in every few seconds.

She snatches the apple from my hand. "You'll ruin your lipstick Kath." She scolds. I huff and get up. I put my hands on Mom's shoulders and turn her around, making her sit on the bed.

"Your dress is awesome, makeup perfect, everything prepared, I myself checked the garden and church last night so just calm down and get some rest." It's true. Her deep v-necked, lace top, flowing bottom, off white gown was truly amazing. The pink matt lipstick makes her look exotic. For eye makeup she just kept it simple with a touch of silver.

"I'm just so nervous. I fear that something might go wrong."

"Everything's gonna be great. I'm here to take care of everything." I assure her. She nods. "You look like a fairy. My fairy godmother." I bring the conversation to a lighter topic.

She smiles. "And you look like a princess. My princess." I smile back at her and look at the dress I'm wearing. It's a halter neck, peach coloured, floor length gown with a little train behind it. The body hugging material shows off my curves and it's just so comfortable, like I'm in a nightdress.

Just then the door opens and in comes Mr Johnson with a smiling Luke in his arms. Brandon is just so cool. Even cooler than dad. He came here late last night and in the short amount of time I've got to know him, I already love him. He even brought me Gucci heels and Sherri Hill gowns. A rich man he is.

"Hey grandad." I tease him as I walk to him and give him a quick hug.

"Hey Kathy." He teases back. I narrow my eyes at him. "You look gorgeous. I bet that Chris guy won't be able to take his eyes off you and will take you down as soon as he..." I turn red as a beetroot. Can you believe the nerve of this 62 year old man? Who says this to one's granddaughter?

"Dad! You just don't say that to your teenage granddaughter. Especially when there is a baby in the room." Mom scolds him.

Brandon slings an arm over my shoulder making me bend a tad bit. Bull. "I thought we were friends. And it's not like Luke will remember this Candy." Mom rolls her eyes.

"We definitely are friends and you don't look bad yourself Brandon." I compliment. He bows a little and thanks me in a prince charming style.

Mom chuckles. Thank God she is lightening up. "It's time to go Candy." He announces. Mom sobers up and nods. I take Luke from grandad's arms. He wraps his little hands around my neck tightly. Aww.. this little man is going to be the death of me.

We all walk together to the car. I help Mom inside and then got in myself. And we drove off to the church.

Once there, I help Mom out and fix her dress. She and Brandon walks inside hand in hand. I follow them with Luke in my hands.

Inside the church, near the big door of the hall stands Rachel, Paige, Emma and aunt Jenna. Austin and Uncle John are also standing there. We walk to them and exchange greetings. Then Paige takes Luke from my arms.

"I'll just go hand him to Chris." She says and without waiting for my approval, she disappears into nowhere. I sigh.

"Hey sissy." Austin says from behind me. I turn back and smile at him. We both are supposed to walk down the aisle together. "Ready?" He asks.

"As ready as I can ever be." I say confidently. He nods. The song starts and we know it's time. Paige, Rachel and Emma walk down the aisle with flower bouquets in their hands. Uncle John and Aunt Jenna are next. A worker hands me my boquet as I wait patiently for my turn. When the tune changes and I know it's time for the maid of honor to walk down.
