"Hey did you hear about Evanna?" I heard a girl talking to her friend when I was going towards my chemistry class.
"What?" The other girl asked excitedly.
"Evanna is totally hitting on that new guy Chris. Beth saw her with him."
"So what, Evanna likes to play with people anyways. He's just another toy."
"No listen to me. Beth saw them at Chris's place, together, alone."
The other girl's expression changed. "That's some really good gossip Jen." They both chuckled. That's enough. I blocked their way when they started walking again. All the colours drained from their faces when they saw me.
"Di..did you he...hear ev.. everything?" Jen stuttered. I nodded. They both looked like someone sucked their souls out.
"Why can't you people keep two simple things in your mind? First, do not gossip about Evanna. Second, never interrupt her or the work she does." I said and started walking towards the two of them. They stepped back. I grabbed Jen's arm, so tight that I'm surprised her bone didn't break. She winced. "This will serve you right." My grip tightened and she let out a small scream.
The other one, her friend, ran away. Tears were beginning to form in Jen's eyes. I smirked. This is who I am, heartless and evil. "I'm sorry Evanna. This won't happen again." She said, her voice cracking. I dug my nails into her skin and she winced again, shutting her eyes. I suddenly felt someone's hand on my arm, pulling me away from Jen. Jen ran as soon as my grip on her loosened.
I turned to look at the person who interrupted me. I saw Chris standing there. "Are you crazy?" He nearly shouted. Angrily, I punched him on his left cheek.
"Never interrupt me. Am I clear, never. I have given no one the authority to interrupt whatever I'm doing, not even Paige. Who are you then?" I barked and turned away. I started walking towards my chemistry class. I turned my neck and saw him rubbing his cheek.
I entered the chemistry class and sat on my bench. After some time, I saw Chris entering the class. Great, I totally forgot we both share chemistry. Mrs Paul entered the classroom after ten minutes and during that time, I tried my best to avoid Chris.
"Before we start the class I want to tell Ms Winters something." I got up from my seat. Could this day get any worse? "Ms Winters, your grades are very poor in chemistry this time. If this goes on, I fear that you'll have to repeat the class."
"Mrs Paul, I don't have anyone at home to help me with chemistry. My father hired a number of tutors but none of them were that good at teaching me." I like Mrs Paul, even though I hate chemistry.
"I understand your problem Ms Winters, that's why I want one of you to volunteer to help Ms Winters with chemistry." She said to the rest of the class. I turned and saw that no-one raised their hand. Good. I turned back to face Mrs Paul. "Oh, are you sure Mr Black?" What is she talking about. I turned and saw that Chris raised his hand. Didn't I just punch him? Is this person insane?
"Yes Mrs Paul, I'd really like to help Evanna with chemistry." He replied.
"Ok then it's decided. Ms Winters, you will going to Mr Black's house for an hour everyday after school."
"No Mrs Paul, I'll manage I..."
"No arguments Ms Winters. Please take your seat and open your chemistry book." I stomped my feet but obeyed her. I gave Chris a death glare, he simply smiled. This guy is insane, I'm telling you.
I waited for Chris outside the chemistry class. He came after exactly five minutes. I blocked his way. "Did my punch affect your brain or are you naturally insane?"
"None of the above. And I already forgot about the punch, you should too. See you at my house today. After school." He said and walked away, leaving me speechless. I hate being speechless.
At Chris's house
I am having a mental battle as to whether I should go ring the bell or not. Finally the side saying no won and I turned back to leave. Just then I heard the doors opening. "Leaving so soon?" Chris said and I turned towards him. I saw him looking at me with an arched eyebrow. "Come on I won't kill you."
"That's not what I'm fearing. I'm afraid that I'll kill you." I said sarcastically. He chuckled. He looks so hot when he does that.
"Come on in." He motioned me to step inside. I sighed but stepped inside. He guided me up to his room where we were supposed to study. His room was nice, I liked it. Simple, sober yet classy.
"I didn't see your parents by the way." I said, out of the blue. But I didn't see his parents even though I came here twice now.
"Oh, actually, they both are surgeons and are pretty busy nowadays. They will be home by nine o'clock, I guess."
"Oh." Was all I said.
"So let's get started?" I nodded.
An hour later
Chris closed the books after looking at his wrist watch. "What?" I asked.
"An hour is over." He replied. Is it? It feels like I came here just a few minutes ago. He's a really good teacher by the way. Ok so now that study time's over, why not have some fun.
Chris got up from his chair and streched. I grabbed his collar and pulled his collar till the point that his face was just inches apart from mine. His eyes widened. "Let's have some fun." I pushed him back so that he fell on his bed. I crawled beside him on the bed and after coming to his level, I towered on top of him. Trapping him by placing both of my hands on both of his sides. He was simply lying, frozen, as always. I pulled my rubber band that was holding my hairs in a high ponytail. My hairs flowed down dramatically.
His eyes widened so much that I was beginning to think that they would pop out of his skull. I leaned down, so close that our faces were centimetres apart. He shutted his eyes tightly. I, not being able to control myself, started laughing. I moved away from him and jumped off the bed. I tied my hairs back, still laughing. Chris opened his eyes and sat up. I saw something different in his eyes.. anger?... Humiliation? I couldn't figure out.
"Who are you Evanna? Playing with people's emotions like that." He barked. Anger I'm sure of it now.
"Chill dude, no emotions were involved. I warned you. I did say 'let's have fun'."
"You're disgusting Evanna." He shouted and stormed out of his room. Everyone do think that I am disgusting but no one says it to my face cause they all are cowardy cats. He said it straight to my face and I didn't even give a witty reply! How disgusting Evanna, I scolded myself. I took my bag from his table and jogged out of his house, towards my car, without saying a goodbye.
Once home, I went straight up to my training room. I picked up the practice revolver kept on the stand there and loaded it with fake bullets. I wore my glasses and aimed at the dummy nearly ten feet away from me. I aimed at the heart first. Bang! There was a loud noise and I saw that the dummy got shot right at the heart. Good Evanna. I then aimed at the brain. Bang! There goes another. I put the hand to my side and saw that the bullet hit it's head instead of forehead and went through it to the wall near it. Have to work on it.
"Stop that, you'll make me deaf I'm telling you." Marie shouted, coming inside the room.
"So stay away from this room." I said bluntly.
"Someone's in a temper."
"Aren't I always in a temper. Please leave Marie, I need to calm myself down."
"K. But come downstairs within an hour. You can have donouts in snacks today." I forced a smile and nodded.
You asked me who am I Chris. Well this is who I am. A dangerous, heartless and selfish person.
