18. Don't
"Jungkook?" Kookie feels the whisper right on his ear. It tickles her ear. He looked over his shoulder sleepily to see Mister Kim sitting on the edge of his bed.
"Get out." Jungkook turned, not wanting to see him. Not wanting to deal with him. That's why he found it easy to give his back to Jin.
"Jungkook? I'm sorry," he hiccups. Jin puts his hand on his hip. Jungkook swats his hand away. Jin shouldn't be doing those things. He shouldn't even be in Jungkook's room to begin with.
Jin shouldn't even have to apologize if he did what he promised. And right now that wasn't the case. And Kookie wasn't going to deal with it until tomorrow. Even then he might still be angry.
"Don't!" Jungkook quickly turns around sitting up on his bed.
"Did you cry? Because of me?" Jin's voice slowly slurring the words. As he takes in his appearance as a whole.
Kookie couldn't deny that he cried himself to sleep but he couldn't confess to it either. They were nothing but angry tears that were caused by Jin. There was so much anger in him towards Jin.
"Get out," his voice starting to sound angry. Jungkook's remembering all his emotions and he's quickly getting worked up again.
"No, tell me," he insisted. He was close to Jungkook. Their faces about a foot away. Jungkook wished nothing more than to push him away.
"You said you'd be here at seven. It's—" he turns to see his clock. "It's fucking two in the morning. And you come uninvited to my room. Get out. You're lucky I don't quit right now." He was boiling mad. More than earlier because how dare SeokJin come in when he was asleep and he appears drunk.
"I said I'm sorry," he hiccups again. This time putting his hand on Jungkook's knee.
"Stop it!" Jungkook took a deep breath trying to yield his anger. "I don't want to talk to you. You almost ruined my date. I was lucky he was understanding and you're nothing but a jerk. I should've known that you would get too caught up with that man. You could've called." He was crying again in anger. Jin was about to reach up and dry the tears for him but Jungkook seemed to be quicker.
"You're drunk. And next time you come to my room like this believe me I will leave in that moment. I won't look back. Now, leave. Talk to me when you're sober."
Jungkook quickly laid back in bed giving his back to him, hoping Jin would leave. To his surprise he could feel Jin staring at him intently. He tried to ignore the awkwardness of it all.
He didn't say anything. The intensity was too much to beat. Kookie just got up and left the room. Jungkook could hear SeokJin not so gracefully follow. He hears a noise that he could only put as Jin falling.
"SeokJin?" He finds Jin on the kitchen floor. "For fucks sake." He counts his lucky stars that nothing was broken and Jin appears to be okay.
Jungkook kneels next to him. SeokJin lays there for a second before trying to sit up.
"Hold on. Stay still," he demands which Jin listens to him. Jungkook looks him over. Trying to remember what he was taught in the few nursing classes he took and things he's recently read in case the kids had a wrong fall. He assessed his body for any broken bones or cuts.
"You're lucky. I'm going to help you up. And you need to help me. If you can't then you can stay there all night or crawl somewhere much more comfortable. Got it?" Jungkook helped him sit up.
"Yeah," he coughed. He seemed hazy.
"I'll get you water then we'll move. Just let me know when you're ready." Jungkook stands up. SeokJin holds his hand.
