A couple of days later Lyanna found herself enjoying the company of the eldest Stark son, she had realised she could never fall for him, but they did grew to become friends and Lyanna was glad with the choice she had made.
“Oh, come on, Lyanna, ride with us!” Robb told her and she smiled at him.
“I wish I could, but I promised mother not to, I’m sorry.” She says to him and he climbed his horse. “Do have fun though.” She adds and she looks up to him, she couldn’t say he wasn’t handsome, because he was, he truly was.
“Please do come with us tomorrow! I want to show you the forest.” Robb almost begged her and she chuckles.
“I shall think about it, but I cannot make a promise, Robb. Now go, they’re waiting for you.” she smiles, and he nods and put his horse to run towards the Hunters Gate.
Lyanna turned around just to find her knight, Ser Godric, walking towards her. “You’ve been spending a lot of time with him, lately.” He noticed, and she looked at him.
“Well, it is either him, my uncles, my beloved siblings, my mother or my father. I enjoy to be accompanied by someone I haven’t already spend my whole life with.” Lyanna replies to him, and she chuckles.
“That is... understandable.” Ser Godric smiles and he looked at her. “You’ve received a letter, princess.” he adds and he handed over the letter. Lyanna looked at the mockingbird sigil of the seal and she smiles.
“Thank you, Ser!” She says and she hurried off to her room to be alone. She never wanted anyone to be around when she was talking with Lord Baelish, and she didn’t want anyone around now that she was about to read his letter. Ser Godric watched her walking away, a little sad that she had hurried off so quickly.“So, what had Littlefinger to say?” Ser Godric asks, and Lyanna quirked her eyebrow to him.
“Lord Baelish informed me about the things that were going on in King’s Landing. How he wished me save travelings back and that we must speak when I returned.” Lyanna simply says, she hated when Ser Godric called people by their ‘nickname’. He sometimes called her uncle Kingslayer, and her other uncle the imp, and he kept calling Lord Baelish Littlefinger. It annoyed her very much.
“You do realise he is just using you and your titles.” Ser Godric says and she glared at him.
“ Ser Godric, you are being rude. Feel free to continue your rant, but know that when you do, I will have my father find me a new and better guard.” She says with gritted teeth. She never liked it to use her power over people, but she knew that sometimes she just had to.
“Excuse me, my princess. I did not mean to be rude.” He says and he bowed for her, she cocked her head back and looked up to the sky.
“If you would please excuse me, I think I will find Tyrion for advise on a new book.” She sighs, and for the second time that day Ser Godric watched how the princess walked away from him, and he felt a hollow feeling in his stomach.“You have been in a fight?” Tyrion asks and Lyanna sighs. She had just walked into the library, and her uncle could read her already like the openbook she was to him.
“Yes, Ser Godric was being rude.” She answers with all honesty.
“To or about whom?” He asks and he looks at her from over his book. She sighs and she sits down on the chair next to him.
“To me, about someone I received a letter from.” She told him and he grimaced.
“Is Lord Baelish sending you letters now. He sure is quite fond of you, isn’t he.” Tyrion laughed and he looks at his niece. She could not seriously be interested in that man, could she? Tyrion thought to himself, he prayed to all the gods that she wouldn’t be, because he knew for a fact that Lord Baelish was nothing more than trouble. He may had fooled most of the high lords and ladies of Westeros, but not him.
“He is.” Lyanna sighs, and she looks at her uncle, “but it was more about the fact that Godric keeps calling everyone by their given nickname, and I am kinda sick of it.” She sighs and she cocked her head back to dramatize her sentence.
“You know he loves you, right?” He says and she looks at him.
“Who are you talking about?” She asks, genuine curious.
Tyrion started to laugh about the childish look on his nieces face, and he remembered how young she actually was.
“I cannot speak for Lord Baelish, but I do notice the way Ser Godric acts around you.” Tyrion laughs, and Lyanna moved in her seat. Tyrion noticed this and he decided to use this moment. “You seem disappointed.” he stated.
“Disappointed? No, I’ve always knew Ser Godric had feelings for me, he confessed those feelings to me a very long time ago, and I do admit I had hoped they would have been gone now.” She says to him, not really interested in the game Tyrion tried to play. “As for what you are looking for, no, I am not interested in Lord Baelish, besides, even if I was, he could not handle me.” She says and she smiled as she gets up and walks away.I really do hope you’re right. Tyrion thought to himself as he focused on his book again, I really hope you’re smart enough not to fall for him.
