Chapter 6: New life, New Faces

(3rd person pov)

(Y/n) was heading to the main campus of beacon ozpin and professor Glynda had to see to the business of the newly arrived students as well as finding somewhere to house RZ while (Y/n) wasn't indoors,Meanwhile (Y/n) was riding on top of RZ while RZ made his way across beacon he didn't want to ride in the cockpit because he'd never seen the campus itself only the pictures and broadcasts from special reports of how famous huntsman had graduated from there and he admired how it stood in all its magnificence and splendor. He was so wrapped up in thoughts he didn't notice that RZ had begun to walk through the courtyard somewhere he had wanted to avoid since he didn't want to draw attention to himself especially since he was riding a giant mech with a self aware AI and a combat ready arsenal at its disposable. RZ simply kept walking as student onlookers soon began to gather.

"whoa look at that thing is that some new prototype mech from the atlas military?"

"It has to be I've never seen anything like it...hey is there someone riding it?"

"Yeah there is look (points at Y/n) I wonder how he's controlling it's movements from up there?"

RZ slowly came to a stop snapping (Y/n) out of his thoughts

(Y/n):"huh? Hey RZ why did y-" he cut himself as soon as he looked around he saw a crowd of students had gathered around him and RZ all staring at with bewilderment at the titan mech and the yet unknown Faunus boy some had their scrolls out and were taking videos and pictures, (Y/n) felt anxious since he'd never been the center of attention so he made sure his ears and tale were still tucked in under his sweater.

(Y/n):"hey RZ I think we should get out of here before professor Goodwitch shows up and gives us a scolding"

RZ:"affirmative pilot however there is a problem this crowd of civilians will not move therefore I will not be able to proceed on foot if leaving is paramount then I can activate my auxiliary thrusters to clear pass over the crowd and escape"

(Y/n):"thrusters? Uh ok sure as long as we beat it"

RZ:"understood please grab hold as tightly as you can"

A priming sound was heard as a pair of mid sized thruster slid out from behind RZ he then squatted down slightly as the sound hummed and jumped into the air and low blast sound erupted as the thruster sparked alive and he gained altitude and forward over the crowd as Everyone was in complete awe at the mech floating 20 feet overhead. As soon as he cleared the crowd by a safe distance he cut the thrusters and landed with a loud thud leaving a slight dent in the ground and immediately took off sprinting which was pretty quick given how large and bulky he was.

(Y/n):(Hanging on for dear life)"HO-O-O-LY SH-I-I-I-T RZ WHY A-A-A-RE W-WE R-R-U-NNN-I-I-N-NG?!?!?" He yelled while bouncing wildly

RZ:"we are being pursued by the crowd of onlookers I believe running will be our best strategy to lose our pursuers"

(Y/n) looked back and saw the mob of students chasing after both of them after some of them still holding their phones out while running in the moment he did his grip loosened a little as he was distracted looking back while RZ turned a corner cause (Y/n) to be taken by surprise and come tumbling off RZ into a some bushes.

(Y/n):"OW!"he yelled as he hit the ground falling at least a good 25 feet only to have his fall cushioned slightly into a bush whose branches jabbed him in the back as he crashed into it. He layed there wincing in pain as he heard RZ footsteps thumping away as he continued to run a few seconds later he heard the rumbling sound of footsteps and lots of voices go by.
