Chapter 8:Teamwork saves Lives...and raises questions?

(Ruby pov)

I was running through the emerald forest as fast as I could trying to find yang before someone else had the opportunity to snatch her up for their own team so we couldn't be together

"YANG YANG?!?!?!" I yelled as ran through the forest trying to find my sister before anyone else could "(thinking)oh this is bad this is bad what if I can't find her?" I thought to myself as I kept running "who else is there?...there's Jaune he's nice, he's funny...wouldn't be much good in a fight, there's also Blake so dark, mysterious...wouldn't be able to hold a conversation with her" as I was thinking I noticed someone directly ahead of me and I slid to a grinding stop as they came into focus and was confronted with the last person I would've thought to run into right off the bat...Weiss Schnee.

We stood there looking at each other for a few seconds before she turned her heel to me and begun to walk away

Ruby:"wait! where are you going?!?...we're supposed to be teammates" I said glumly as she continued to march through the bushes, I stood there by myself moping about how badly my luck was going so far until a few seconds later she came back

Weiss:"by no means does this make us friends" she said as she walked passed me and grabbed me by my hood and started to drag me along behind her

Ruby:"you came back!"I cheered out loud although while in cheered I could've sworn I heard someone call out "hey wait who's going to get me down from here?!?" from the direction Weiss walked back from but I didn't pay much attention to it, " I wonder how the others are doing so far?" I thought to myself as I Weiss let me go as I hurried after her.

(Yang pov)

I was making my way through the forest while trying to...anybody, while on my way to the temple where we were supposed to retrieve our relics

Yang:"hello? Is anyone out there? Helloooo? I'm getting bored here" as said to myself as I came stopped in a small clearing I heard rustling in some bushes nearby and went up to investigate thinking it was someone else "ruby is that you?" I asked,my question was immediately met with a growling sound as I looked up "nope" I said as I dodged out of the way of a pair Ursa Minors that came rampaging through the bushes once I got to my feet I armed both of my ember celica gauntlets

I punched one of them in the chest that leapt at me in the chest sending it rolling while I uppercut the other one of them in the chin that came at me and followed up by kicking it in the chest sending it toppling onto its back "you guys wouldn't happen to have seen a girl in a red hood would you?" They both replied by growling out me "you could just say no" I said as they tried to swipe at me while I back flipped away from them "haha geez you two couldn't hit a-" I stopped myself as I saw a strand of my hair wisp away in front of my face falling to the ground, "YOU...MONSTERS!!!" I yelled as I charged at the one who messed with my hair and begun beating it senseless with my gauntlets while firing shotgun shells into its belly I was able to get a good number of hits in before sending it packing into some trees leaving behind a burning trail while the other one slowly came up behind me, I cocked my gauntlet as I stood on its hind legs "what you want some too!!!" I growled out loud before it stopped abruptly and fell forward, standing it behind him was the Blake girl that me and ruby had talked to the other night while trying to get her some more friends with her sword sticking out of it's back she pulled it out by yanking on a sash that she was attached to it catching it with one hand and smirking at me afterwards
"I could've taken it" I said shaking it off

(Y/n pov)

Me and Lilly made our way through the forest keeping an eye out for any Grimm that tried to sneak up on us while searching for her brother, I heard her happily humming a tune while she walked so I'd occasionally took a glance at her to since it was an awful catchy song I looked at both her white fluffy ears and tail swaying openly while we walked seeing how carefree she was about them it made me a little jealous since I'd always kept mine tucked away under my sweater
