Epilogue: Afterwards

(Y/n POV)

I opened my eyes, I was standing in a long narrow hallway. Did I go back inside?

Last thing I remember, I was getting my ass kicked by my NOW official girlfriends. Or is it Harem now?

We'd been officially dating for 2 minutes and they unanimously decided to kick my ass after I got an eyeful of exposed underwear?!

Well...I think I might've caught a glimpse of some Yang butt but there was too much Dust in my eyes for me to be sure.

Apparently our relationship was already strong enough to survive violence!

But there was something wrong about this hallway. Maybe it's because I skipped school for a week or two, but this hallway didn't look like any hallway that was in the school.

For one thing, the floor was smooth tiles instead of the carpet flooring the school had. Then again I didn't have a chance to fully explore the school as much as I liked.

But then again, How did I even...get here?

My mind start to trail off...I couldn't explain it but I had this sense feeling that I'd been here before.

???:"The expense of this project has gone past our appointed budget. I don't think our beneficiaries will be pleased when I have to contact them asking for a 2nd Lien advance this month." said a man's voice.

That voice sounded familiar...even though I've never met someone in my life who sounded remotely like that?...

I looked to my left, there was someone wearing what looked like a lab coat standing next to me. I hadn't noticed him there before, they were pretty tall compared to me. I couldn't see his face for some odd reason...

I could see his mouth but his face was obscured by some weird darkness that was overshadowing his face from the nose upwards.

???:"We're producing results aren't we? And I'm sure they're benefitting from our arrangements as well." Said a woman's voice.

I looked back in front of me and realized there was a woman was standing. Did she appear out of thin air? She wasn't there a second ago!

An even weirder thing was that whoever this woman was, she had that same dark gloom looming obscuring their face. No way was that a semblance!

I mean I've heard of some weird semblances out there. Back in my orphanage, I remember seeing a news piece on the TV about some guy who got arrested for his semblance, he could use his semblance to change the shape and form of objects.

Apparently, He was using it to turn broken glass into fake shards of unrefined Dust.

He was scamming Dust shops with it and making a killing till he got caught selling his stuff an uptown Dust department store, someone recognized him off a police bulletin and security nabbed him when he tried to bolt.

He had a pretty hefty sentence waiting for him since a couple shops actually went bankrupt buying his fake goods and were unable to recover financially. This weird Gloomy face censorship thing going on couldn't be one of those same ones, could it?

???:"But doctor! This project is becoming more and more unethical the further we proceed with it! How much more of our moral integrity is it going to demand of us? Doctor, I understand you have the survival of both Humans and Faunus in mind but-"

???:"But what?...Brendon, I accepted you as my understudy because I knew you would be of great use to me in my research. My work hastened with the resources, connections and influence I now possesses. But your sudden change of heart has me concerned, You showed complete devotion to me when I began, why change now?" said the woman referring to the man as Brendon.
