Enid and I were talking about random stuff, as the doctors were making sure she's okay.
She was going to leave in about a week, but there are still some complications and stuff she doesn't know about.
"So, a little sun tattoo on our fingers? Why a sun?"
"Because the sun makes me happy. I love being in the sun." She smiled, and I did, too.
I don't know what about the sun that made her happy, but it was the sun that did it. She hated stormy weather, she couldn't see the sun.
The sun even calmed her down as a baby. My parents told us stories about how Enid used to draw the sun all the time.
"Of course it does." Her smile dropped from her face, and she closed her eyes. She stopped breathing. "What the hell?"
"Ms. Theodora, we're going to have to ask you to leave."
"What happened?" I asked the doctor,
"Her heart stopped beating, we need you to leave, please." My heart dropped as I was kicked out of the hospital room.
I put my hand on my forehead, and gasped. No way. My sister is going to be fine, she's going to live.
Right?
"Hey." A guy nurse walked by me, winking at me.
I walked over to him, and grabbed his ear, even though he was tall.
"Listen, asshat, today is not my day, my sister is in there, dying, my boyfriend is in another continent, doing whatever the hell he wants while I'm stuck here. So, don't push me today, it's not a great day for me." Calvin isn't exactly my 'boyfriend' and I don't want him to be, not right now at least, but I just want this guy to back off.
"God, that was extra." He pulled my hand off of his ear. "It was just a greeting."
"You don't wink like that for a 'greeting' I've been near plenty of creeps to know better than that." I whipped my hair, and turned around.
"Really? Have you really?" I stopped and turned around.
"Shut up, nurse."
(oml I didn't even notice I quoted this YouTuber, whoever knows who I referenced gets free cookies).
"Don't be mean. My name is Nick." He held his hand out.
