Temptation

Author's Note

           

Almost a year ago, I started Temptation, with my only goal in mind to have a story about Rye and Andy. It wasn't until the summer that I truly started to get ideas for it, and was able to shape it into the story that it has become. Nine months later (Truly like my baby, huh?), it has come to an end – And, trust me, it's bittersweet for me, as well.

            Part of why saying goodbye to it is so difficult is because of the immense amount of support from you, the readers. As I write this, it has over 900 comments, and reading every single one of them has made me happier than I could ever describe. For as long as I can remember, I have wanted to be an author, and, despite not having anything officially published, I feel closer to my dream than ever before. My writing means the world to me, and to garner such incredible feedback and compliments on it means so fucking much to me. I cannot thank each and every person who has taken the time to read this enough – But, of course, I have to make some special shoutouts, too.

◦First off, Aranja. Temptation might not even have existed without you. You've been the #1 fan of it from the start. It was always your comments on it that I looked forward to whenever I hit post on a new chapter. Thank you for your patience (It took me a really long time to finish this, huh?), and for loving Randy/Gay OTPs in general just as much (if not more) than I do, and for being an amazing friend overall. My sunshine, I will love you forever and always.

◦Aly. To think, without Temptation, we might never have met. (Cue subdued gasps and from the live studio audience.) Creative threats and Hatred for me aside, I feel so lucky to have you in my life. As Rye would say to Andy, you are everything that I needed and more. Your reactions an comments on every chapter and arguably better than my writing itself. (wRiTe a fAnFiC already!!) thank you for the (painful) Randy AUs any time I need them, and for always being there to offer advice & insults. Here's to many more years of water references and pain for Rye (and Aly.) I really really love you, even though you are Satan. At least the dark side has cookies. (Feel free to slap me for that cliché.)

◦And to Jess, for simply being both my Wattpad buddy and my best friend, to Trinity, for always keeping me in line and PG, and for being equally as excited as I am while watching randy moments, to Becky, for loving randy and cats and not murdering me for taking a good 10 years between replies, and to Lauren, Sophie, Ashley, and Kamrie for reading and genereally being the lomls.

            As for what's coming next, I'm planning on focusing on A Sky Full of Stars and 50 Reasons Why next, so feel free to check those out and tell me what you think. As for the aforementioned Randy stories, I have two chapters of Flirting With Disaster prepared, so I can either start posting it now, or when I have more content prepared – Tell me what you'd prefer. I'll probably start posting Curious Cat once Keep In Touch is over (and I have a good 50 or so drafts prepared for that one.)

            Once again, thank you all for everything. I can't believe I've really finished my second (!) book. Hopefully y'all enjoyed it as much as I did. See you on the flip side. ♥
