[Chapter Twenty-Five: Wristbands]
To say Sirius completely failed at healing Aspen would be an understatement, he made the wound on her ankle worse than it already was. She ended up needing to be healed by Lily, but then Lily couldn't get it either. She would have been able too if it weren't already so messed up by Sirius' spell, now she couldn't figure out what the hell to do. It scared her not knowing. James couldn't help but laugh, not at Aspen's wound, but at Sirius who could do a corporal patronus but not a simple healing spell.
Instead, they gave the job to Remus, who embarrassingly enough couldn't get the wound healed either. None of them could, it was like whatever Sirius did to her ankle permanently damaged her foot. At least that was how everyone was acting, the four boys were freaking out as the girls flipped through books to see what was wrong. Aspen only sat there exasperated at all the commotion.
"Sirius, what the bloody hell did you do to my foot?" Aspen whined, laying back into the bed. Her ankle was pulsing, it felt as if she got run over by a muggle train—again. (The first time being when her toe was run over by a train that was coming to a stop.) She wasn't angry at Sirius, she was just confused as to how he messed up the spell so badly.
"I did nothing to it!" Sirius said, already confused himself. "You're the one who jumped off the desk and . . . broke it?"
"Y-You guys scared me when you barged in!" Aspen lied, the group didn't suspect it, though. "And I think it was sprained, that was until you messed with it."
"You told me to heal you," Sirius said, feeling bad for what he had done.
Aspen, who was growing amused by this behavior, continued, "I told you to heal it, not mess it up even more than it already was."
"I'm sor—"
"Sirius, I'm only kidding." Aspen interrupted, giggling. Sirius scrunched up his face, confused. Everyone around them sat around watching the unusual interaction. "The spell you used was probably too basic for whatever I did to my ankle, just get me to Madam Pomfrey—she'll be able to fix it."
"Hopefully," Chimed James.
"James!" Lily scolded, smacking her boyfriend on the chest. Aspen laughed which made Lily even more disappointed then she already was. "You shouldn't be encouraging him, Aspen. Soon, one of us will be really injured and he'll say the wrong thing trying to be funny!"
"Oi, I'm already funny. I don't even need to try." James said in offense, glaring at Lily. "Plus, I know how to keep my mouth shut— you don't have to worry about me making death jokes around the Grimm Reaper anytime soon."
"Says the boy who asked Lily out every day for three years when each time she said no," Scoffed Remus. Lily wore a grateful expression as she nodded to Remus in thanks for the example.
