Naughty and Nice

Chapter 8

Annabelle's pov

So Hayden drags me to this party ok. She promises to not leave me cause I hate parties. As soon as we get through the doors, she walks away from me. I'm now alone at a High Schooler or College party. *face palm* I walk to the couch. Two couples were making up. I sit in between them. Someone comes up to me and hands me a drink. I look up and saw Hayes. He smiles at me.

"Here," I take it and smell it. It's not beer or stuff like that. I take a sip and it taste like water.

"Thanks."

"Where's your sister?"

"Most likely drinking or something. She loves parties. I'm the more quiet one. This is so out of my element. He takes my hand and drags me upstairs and we find an attic. There was a window and we climb out and sit on the roof. He takes my hand in his and intertwine our fingers. I smile at him. He smiles back. I look out and see the stars.

"They are beautiful." I said.

"Not as beautiful as you." He whisper. I chuckle to myself.

"Thanks."

"You heard that?"

"Yeah." I scoot closer to him and lean on his shoulder. He wraps his arms around my waist. I pass out on his shoulder.

Hayes's pov

She passed out and I stood up and carried her down the stairs. I found Sam.

"Hey, she fell asleep. Grab Hayden and let's go. The boys will find another way home." He nods and I carry Annabelle outside. She was so light. I push a piece of her hair out of her face. Sam came out behind me and was walking with a drunk Hayden. Sam chuckles at her. We carry them home and I run upstairs before Sam and laid Annabelle down.

"Ride safe, Cowgirl." I kiss her cheek and she smiles. I open the door for Sam and he lays Hayden down while I leave. I think I love Annabelle.

Annabelle's pov

As always, I woke up at 8. Hayden was still asleep. Trying to sleep away her drunkness. I got ready for the day and remember last night. Hayes is so sweet. I check the time. Aw crap. I'm going to be late. I run downstairs quickly and was about to write Hayden a note when she comes downstairs.

"Hey sis, I have work. I'll be back later." I kiss her cheek sisterly and hugged her. She sighs.

"Ok sis. I'll talk to you later." I nod and run out the door. It's 8:30 I have 30 minutes to run and get there. It's a 15 minute run. I'm athletic, I can do this. I took off running and finally made it to the stables, out of breath. I walk in and sat in a seat. Trying to catch my breath. The boss comes out and spots me.

"10 minutes earlier."

"Yeah.... Sorry....... had...... to..... run......." I said breathing between everyone of them.

"It's fine. Well go down and check on your horse...."

"Sugarplum, she doesn't like the term horse." He laughs and nods.

"Check on Sugarplum. Meet me at the training area at 9." I nod and run down to the stables. I run in and see Sugarplum. She neighs when she sees me. I pet her.

"Sorry girl. Lets get back to work." She nods her head and I get her saddled. I ride her to the barrel practice. I hop off of her and she walked beside me. I don't need to hold the reins.

"Oh look it's Horse Girl. She thinks she's all that." A fake country girl said. I look closer. I think I've seen her before.

"I'm a better racer than you so I don't care what you think."
