Chapter 19:

I fell asleep in the living room with the others, they insisted on staying with me again tonight because well... We all kind of needed it.

Luke was a wreck.

Hannah didn't know what to do.

Calum was upset.

Analiya was pissed.

And then there was me.

I was scared, worried, broken.

So pretty much the usual.

But tonight?

We were all a bit broken.

And as soon as we all fell asleep, Michael was there.

"Come on." He whispered, grabbing my hand, pulling me to my feet.

He led me outside on the front porch, where he sang Adams Song to me.

Oh my God.

"Why did you show me that?" I breathed, sitting on the porch.

"I needed you to know."

"Yes but I didn't want to see you fucking kill yourself Michael!"

"I'm sorry! I didn't want you see to that-"

"THEN WHY DID YOU SHOW IT TO ME!?!"

"I wanted you to see what I said before. I wanted you to know that I really do love you Ashton."

"But you still left me!" I stomped my foot, tears in my eyes.

"You saw what happened Ashton." He said calmly, shaking. "I couldn't do it anymore. You know how hard it is. To hate yourself so much." He looked down. "That not even the people you loved could change that."

"I could've helped you." My voice broke. "Hell, I did help you Michael, and you helped me. It could've stayed that way. I would've helped you go through it!" A tear cascaded down my cheek and Michael frowned. "You know that."

"Are you mad?"

"I'm not mad at you. I'm mad that I couldn't do anything to save you."

"You couldn't have done anything Ash. I was gone beyond repair."

"But I loved you. I still do."

"I know." He whispered, pursing his lips. "I love you too okay?"

"Okay."

I looked away, and Michael put a hand on my shoulder, spinning me around so I was facing him before pressing his lips onto mine.

It felt so real.

And before I knew it, I was watching Michael and I again. It was another flashback.

It was our first kiss.

Michael took me out for our very first date, when no one knew that we were actually.. Boyfriends.

Calum, Luke, no one.

No one knew.

We were on tour at the time with One Direction, I was really looking forward to going on tour with them, but the band split up before the Where We Are tour began.
