Chapter 4

(Hi you guys sorry for the long wait I was busy all week. I had to go to my sisters graduation and so many birthdays. I even began working more hours at work and I haven't had time to publish but here is the next chapter. I hope this chapter answers some of your answers.)

Evan's POV

When I got to class I was exhausted and irritated. I can't believe my hair is short now, it is now charred and ugly. I went to my seat and sat down, I grabbed a strand of hair and talked to it. "Poor baby, all short and dirty don't worry you'll be back to your former glory". I cooed at my hair with a pout " Aw is your stupid hair nice and short" he laughed " Aw is your dick still small Darren how quaint for an idiot" I spat back at him.

" What did you say spaz" oh great he just had to mess with me while I'm pissed "You heard me dick wad" he got up and went in my face "Wanna say that to my face" he smirked " I already did Dick Wad". I was punched in the face and I hit the corner of the desk.

Every one on my class began to get all hyped up to see an idiot beat on the "weak" kid in the school. Well jokes on them. I'm not in the mood today. I narrowed my eyes at the guy who has been my bully for years.

I got up while cracking my neck and wiped the blood off my face. "Bring it asshole" he tried to tackle me but I flung him into the chairs.

He tried to punch my face again but I adjusted my stance and dodged at the last second. I kneed his stomach causing him to fall on his knees. "Your so predictable Darren, it's been the same shit for years now just give up". He stood up but this time to make sure he stayed down I used a technique not allowed on humans. Its a very weak technique on our kind but still painful to humans. It will just disorient him. And cause a slight amnesia where as to my kind it only leaves a bruise

I brought my fingers inward  and summoned a small blast and punched his face. The blast lagged a bit up a bit before it sent him flying across the floor. Whew. I'm still practicing so the move was still a little unstable. Everyone got to their seat just in time before the teacher came.

Like always, the teacher was unaware of an injured student. He sat his things down and introduced a new student. "Class, this is a student that came in late for this year. His name is Ermasia and he came from Greece! please treat him well".

Throughout the day everyone was complaining about how Ermasia got special treatment all day while others talked about this other new hot student. Probably another asshole jock.

Classes passed by pretty fast because it was barely the beginning of the school year. We didn't get homework we mostly got free time. On my way to lunch I accidentally slammed into a hard wall. I groaned in pain and when I looked up I saw the sexiest man ever. " Oh I'm sor-" I was cut off by what he told me next " Miriam what happened to your hair" I looked at him " Eh?" I gave him a confused expression. " Your gorgeous long hair Miriam what happened". He grabbed a charred strand and ran his fingers through it.

" Um I'm sorry but my name is Evan not ooh" realization hit me in the face. Literally a football hit me in the face, again, and it reminded me of last night. "Oh my god are you alright" two boys came rushing toward us quickly.

" Ugh I'm alright" blood was dripping out of my nose and I went to the bathroom to wipe it off. " Miriam I'm sorry I didn't mean to distract you" I grabbed a paper towel and ripped it into pieces and shoved it into my nose. "Oh don't fuss" he stared at me deeply and with a husky voice he said "There must be something I can do for us to be even" he looked at me seductively.

The man stared at me with need and began to lean in. His eyes showed lust and his arousel was evident on his face.

I chuckled " Hehe no no no" I put my hand on his mouth and turned my face away "You can repay me by backing away". He face palmed " What?Why?" I laughed " Its cuz you are different. Your not the type to seduce just anyone." I chuckled and walked away. I sighed and shook my head what a funny guy. By the end of lunch there was something bothering me about that one kid Ermasia.

Something didn't feel right about him. Even his name sounded familiar. I gasped its " Yes I'm Hermes" I turned around and looked him right in the eyes " I was gonna say Jonas Brother but I guess that's true".

"Foolish thing how dare you" his clothes turned into golds and silvers. It was as if time froze when I realized what was going on. "Oh its a battle you want ey Hermes, messenger of the gods" he struck me with his twin snakes barley grazing me with the venom. I growled in pain.        "Even a graze of their venom can cause you to become disoriented and light headed". I felt my insides churn as I felt my mind loosening and felt something starting to take over.

The hunger was so unsettling I almost gave in. My mind settled again just in time to dodge his snake staff. I jumped away and Hermes became enraged. He pointed his staff at me and it turned into a sword. "Bring it puny god".

"Gladly" he flew to me with great speed. I made an ice sword that quickly shattered on impact. With every hit I was getting slower as Hermes got faster. "Is that all! I would have thought you'd have more fight than your mother!".

That instantly grabbed my attention. As his blade swung down on me, another sword of ice appeared and this time when it clashed with his, it didn't shatter. "What's happened to my mother".

He didn't answer my question which angered me further. I began to strike faster, causing Hermes to become reckless. My mind went blank for a second as I swung the sword hard in order to kill Hermes.

He barely got out of the way before trying to fly away from me. I switched ice sword to a bow and commanded my  ice to shoot him down. As Hermes fell I summoned my sword and struck Hermes down. His body fell from the sky into the grass with a thud. I walked toward him and stood above him.

"Well then... Finish me" I looked into his eyes before I brought sword up. As he closed his eyes. I swung hard and fast ....
